Looks like a good appointment, very interested to see how he does at Stoke.

Comments on Twitter have been mixed, probably just in favour but some utter tools spouting the standard shit "We need a manager who knows this Division" brilliantly forgetting their previous manager had been around a fair bit in the Division and done not a great deal for them.

Karanka sounds like he's being binned today.

All the Forest fans I know love him and have been worried by talk of his potential departure, all seem happy for him to see the season out see if he can improve their consistency.

Weird stuff going on in non-league at the moment.

John Sheridan quit Carlisle and is going to take over at Chesterfield (bottom five of the Conference at the moment). Steve Watson has quit Gateshead (pushing for Conference playoffs) to go to York (16th in Conference North).

Sheridan lives in Chesterfield so that one makes sense. Git of a commute to Carlisle. Guess he couldn't find a property he likes up there

More like a pub he doesn't like, the liability.

Mate of mine is a STH and is gutted about this. Reading twitter seems most Forest fans wanted home to stay. Odd.

Such an oddly run club.

Looks like they have been trying to force him out the door for weeks and he has just given up

All the Forest fans I know like him, token Middlesbrough fan at work still loves him too.

Their form has been patchy but they're 4 points off the play offs and a place behind their perennial bottle job neighbours so it perhaps won't take a lot to sneak in there.

:icon_lol:

I've got nowt on this one (yet)

though I'd be interested in knowing why he rejected the Stoke interview.

He has been to Stoke before. Generally enough to persuade you stay away in the future

There are reports today that Manchester United may approach Gareth Southgate about being their next manager

Telegraph reckon that as well, hope it happens, condemns Man U to the wilderness for a bit longer, their entitled fans will have a right meltdown
