The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2018/19

6 games in for Ole and not bad. I know 5 games were against "lesser" teams and if Spurs had managed to avoid De gea's size 88 feet they would have won but now level with Arsenal. Early indications the appointment not as bad as was predicted by a few on here.

Possible push on Chelsea for 4th place or the Ole bubble to burst and they finish 6th?

look at it two ways. He has got a team wioth undoubted quality playing to their potential or Mourinho was a real shitbox who had lost the dressing room. I suppose its a combination of both. He could surprise us and turn out to be an astute piece of business. Ask again in May lol!

Turns out this football management lark is a piece of piss, take a load of quality players, play them in their proper positions and motivate them a bit and Bobs yer uncle you get some good results.....who knew?

Martin O'Neill in at Forest

Oh dear.

My Forest supporting friend at work was thrilled with the appointment :icon_lol:

That appointment doesn't hold water on a footballing level so theferfore you have to assume it's sentimentality, except you'd need to be in your mid 40's to remember him playing for them

My forest mate (sub-40) was also happy :shake:

Seems to think Karanka is going to Real with Mourinho.

He doesn't seem to be able to move on in terms of style of play. Their goalscoring record is actually pathetic since he took over (including the Championship). I think they scored about 55 when they went up with a negative goal difference.

Remember what they were like with Psycho though. They're suckers for anyone who's ever played for them.

If they are to have any hope of getting out of it they have to make a change.

Problem is, they don't so nobody is going to touch the job with a barge pole.

It's going to be difficult for the sanctimonious Huddersfield fans who assured everyone that he wouldn't be sacked as they are a "proper club" and appreciate everything he's done for them. They've left it too late though as an Allardyce or Moyes won't touch them, so like Stoke with Lambert they'll end up with someone desperate. Rowett is my guess.

Emotional return to English football for Avram Grant

Tbf reading the statement it doesn't seem as if he has been sacked.

Walked away himself. Fair play as not many managers would do that and cling on for the sacking payoff

If your're Sheffield Wednesday you've got to be kicking yourself now, so many better managers than Bruce are available

Rumours are Bielsa is set to resign. That would be a shame

Press Conference at 5pm. Shame if he does go but fucking hilarious if it starts yet another Leeds Utd collapse
