The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2018/19

No surprise. The Stoke fans were baying for his blood the other day and incensed when it was suggested that he would get the Shrewsbury game which they then drew 1-1.

Moyes, yuck, another of the mediocre gravy train managers, unimaginative

Puel's pushing it at the moment.

I really don't understand why Puel is under pressure at the moment
He plays dull, turgid football. If you aren't one of the Sky 6, but an established side, who wants to watch percentage football for the money expected? Projecting forwards a couple of years I'd rather enjoy what I'm watching and finish 12th and endure it and finish 8th

Seventh in the league, about all they can expect really with their budget.

It's nothing to do with league position, the fans want him gone. His football is fucking awful.

Fair enough, as always though, be careful what you would wish for

Worked well for Southampton...
Comes back to my point about style of football though. Southampton weren't going to make the Top 6. The PL sucks ambition out of mid table sides, so as a fan what do you want to watch 19 times a season, pragmatic football or a team having a go? Once you've been there a few years there's not a lot to get excited about being mid table also rans

I don't think it's so much football with Puel (although it frequently isn't great), there always seems to be some kind of internal push within a club to get rid of him, regardless of results. Maybe he rubs people up the wrong way, maybe he comes across the wrong way or doesn't put the yards in behind the scenes, who knows.

His attitude towards the two cups in the last few weeks has been ridiculous given their league position, they were two games that they could have won, pissed them away for absolutely no reason.

Rowett has been sacked, apparently.

This is a career that’s nose diving rapidly.

Reminds me of when McGhee came to Wolves.

bugger- new manager bounce for Stoke?

In truth that squad is under performing. I think most of us thought they would be up there or thereabouts. Still time. Moyes one of the favourites.

Anyone who pays more attention to Stoke and/or Rowett with any insight on where its gone wrong for him since his Birmingham days?

He doesn't play football, Birmingham was a purple patch and now he's reverted to the norm.
