David Wagner is the new manager of Schalke

Ex Bristol rovers boss darrell Clark the new man in at Walsall

Scott Parker has got the Fulham job. 2 year deal

He was the only one this year who managed to get their defense looking respectable tbf.

Wouldn't be so sure about that. Wolves and Cardiff should have scored at least 8 between them. Some top goalkeeping, poor finishing and in Cardiff's case woeful finishing. Teams still got a crap load of chances across the 4 games where they conceded 1.

Fair.

Also he lost every single game when it counted.

Their players are shit though, as are their signings. Not saying he's without blame, but keeping that pile of poop in the premier league twice is an accomplishment.

They would have gone next season. They may still do so but with a new manager it'll be more of an unknown. If they don't go up Hughton will be a good fit for Albion if they increase the amount that they are prepared to pay the new manager above a bag of Cadbury's buttons and a strawberry pop tart

Been awful since Christmas, and there football is terrible too. Will still be people moaning about the decision though
I'm sure Paul Ince is being rung up by Talksport as we speak.

They've been rancid for months now, and they came perilously close to the drop. Absolutely no surprise.

Not a bad decision at all of course the press are claiming how bad it is. In hindsight it’s a decision our board should have done at the end 10/11 season.

Ultimately, he kept Brighton up (yes, I agree the football on offer was shite, but he had a job to do & did it) and he got them to an FA Cup semi final. If getting Wolves to an FA Cup semi final is a massive achievement for Nuno, it would be incredibly harsh of anyone to suggest it's less of an achievement (if not more, looking at the squads) by Hughton to achieve that with Brighton.

In the end, he will get another PL job soon enough - and Brighton have let him see the season out & now have all summer to plan for next season with a new manager in charge, so it works for everyone.

He did a good job but it’s run it’s course, not a bad manager at all just time to move on. Signings haven’t really worked either especially Locadia who’s scored 2 in 30 games.

There are some good players in that squad IMO that would do better under a more progressive coach. That said, someone like Duffy at the back for them has thrived in the way they play

I was very impressed by Duffy against us tbf. The players they sign don't seem to make any sense - Houghton can play football, as he showed in the champ, but it seems the players signed don't fit in to their style of play.

If I look at the Brighton fans on twitter they seem to universally unhappy about this, that's usually not a good sign.

Don't think any PL teams will take him on. He'll have to get a team promoted if he wants another shot at this level.

No-one in this league is going to sack their manager mid-season because they're struggling and say "you know who we need here? Chris Hughton".
