The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2018/19

This is classic outside looking In view (Wolves should never have sacked MM etc.). Now I don’t know either way, as I’m also on the outside and don’t pay that much interest to them. But my baggie supporting mate says that Moore is tactically clueless, terrible substitutions and woeful selections. Plus they have been woeful for a while now. They were getting away with it at the start of the season by blowing teams away, but Barnes has gone back and the goals have dried up.

Their squad is very good? Not sure what makes you say otherwise.
Absolutely this. Pundit World is in outrage whilst by and large Albion fans are in favour. Being 4th in the league is relative if you should be top.

I disagree that they don't have a decent squad for that level, it's stronger than any of the three above them. I appreciate some of these have spent time out injured, but in what has been a poor Championship season you should be able to fashion a top 2 side out of Johnstone, Hegazi, Dawson, Gibbs, Johansen, Livermore, Phillips, Gayle, Rodriguez, Harper, Barry, Murphy and Barnes for half the season. It'd need ripping up if they got promoted, but the players aren't the issue it's the tactics and the formation and that's down to the manager or if you believe the rumours his Asst. Mick, Colin and The Count would have all got them up automatically with that squad

Birmingham City showing why they are an embarrassment to football. Scummy club, scummier fans...

West Brom have made an approach for Slavisa Jokanovic and will continue talks on Monday. Other options will be explored but Jokanovic heads the shortlist

Looks like Zidane is going back to Real

Chris Powell sacked by Southend.

Nuno sends his best wishes to the man who laughed about our prospects of beating Millwall and handling the cold weather last season.

Oh Christ here we go, just been listening to John Barnes saying that Darren Moore was sacked because of unconscious bias and racism, thank fuck he hadn't heard about this

That's the phrase Durham's being running with, because it's impossible to prove either way and isn't slanderous.

The rest of it was quite interesting, but Darren Moore was sacked for being a bad manager.

Exactly, poor selections and tactics plus in-game management and came across as out of his depth. I felt he was a poor appointment to begin with. If it was a race issue they wouldn't have appointed him in the first place.

The appointment was bringing a hero into the hot seat to get a pretty damn fucked off fan base back on side. For a few months it had that effect, but sadly big Dave wasn't very good.

Solskjaer confirmed as permanent Man Utd manager. Fair play to him.

Interesting. I was at a family funeral yesterday in Manchester. They're all united fans, and they were pretty split on whether to give him the job.

We will be talking about who the next United manager is going to be by Christmas.

Easy appointment to make, don't think it's the right one though, like Deano says another manager for them will be along shortly

I said this to DW at the last home game. This looks like a carbon copy of Di Matteo coming in at Chelsea. Fantastic lift for the players but not durable enough on a long term basis.
