The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2018/19

I don't think it's a "shame" at all - I'm loving it. All the glory supporting fans who picked Utd during my school years, for no other reason than the fact they won everything, have now all gone suspiciously quiet? Standard plastic fans. Can't stand them and I hope they continue to fall down the table.

Sadly, as TT says, it wouldn't surprise me if the snakes Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku & Co start playing like world beaters.
Give our love to Steve xxx

Jesus wept. This is Christmas a week early. We need to really keep our shit together as we have a great opportunity here. Trouble is Everton will no doubt be thinking the same.

Erm, we're a whole three points clear of 12th at the moment and at any given point we could have another mini-run where we pick very little up (I know we have a good record against the top teams as it stands, yet there's a fair chance that we'll lose two of our next three, for instance). It's not like we've opened up a huge gap and 7th is just there waiting for us.

We won't finish above them. They've clearly decided to write off the season, but they've still got enough in their squad to comfortably finish in the top 6 - I think there'll be a sizeable gap between 6th and 7th and TBH we should be very content with anything around midtable. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I'm not fussed about them - though like Jinks said, it's quite nice to see them realise that supporting a football team isn't just about winning stuff every year. Indeed, I've seen a few of their 'fans' on Facebook deciding that 'enough is enough'. Cry me a fucking river - appoint Dean Saunders, drop down a few divisions and then come back to me if you want sympathy, you self entitled cunt shovels.

Sorry, I have to disagree. I am passionate about my own team but am happy to acknowledge great teams when they are about even if they beat my own. Utd in the 90's Liverpool in the 80s Leeds in the 70's togther with Bayern and Ajax in the 70's The Milans in the 80's Barcelona, Real madrid and Bayern again in the 90s and up to about 2010 and Man City/ Liverpool, Chelsea at various times this century have all played some really great football that I have enjoyed watching. The only exception for me is and always has been Arsenal. I fucking hate Arsenal

Don't worry, lose the next three and people will be discussing Nuno being sacked and relegation!

we know youre right, but we want to make you sweat on the £20 and a curry bets a little bit longer

Please however can someone tell me what a cunt shovel is or does?

What he said!!

If we can get something tomorrow then I will start getting very excited, but it is taking the three points in the Fulham and Palace games that will really be key. We are above par already against the top six.

Let's hope Fulham and Palace are better than when we were looking forward to playing Huddersfield and Cardiff...

But Manchester United 2018/19 are NOT a great side, so it's not a shame. So fuck them. And fuck their plastic supporters who chose to follow them just because they were bagging trophies like there's no tomorrow in the 90's.

I don’t think they’ll be any worse than under Mourinho tbh, they’ll finish 6th and have a complete rebuild of management in the summer

lolz. Nothing like a good rant though.

Mourinho has the second best win ratio of any united manager. less than 1% behind Ferguson which proves that for Man Utd its style that counts.

True, but you have to remember that from 1985 to 1992 Fergie United were actually not really title challengers.

His win rate in the Sky Era is something bonkers like 68%

It's not so much that, if they were going along now in 4th place then there's no way he'd have been sacked at this stage, even though that is not good enough for Man Utd and the football would still probably have been awful.

It's how bad they've been, how far they're behind both City and Liverpool, worst start since 1990 and all that (as well as falling out with half the players).

You do realise Ferguson managed 1350 more Man Utd games than Jose?

Its not a reasonable comparison at all.

Speaking of their plastic fans, one southern 'Manc' uttered the line: "haven't we suffered enough??" On the radio the other week. Fuck off!

Ince on Five Live..."give it to Steve Bruce or Mark Hughes as interim and if they do well then you keep them".

Muppet.

Big Al has questioned a couple of times this morming why they didn't go for Brucie or Hughesie
