Alex MacLeish of to manage zamalak in egypt

Sean O'Driscoll sacked by Walsall.

They are cast-iron for getting in the play-offs you would think, even with a few poor results in the last couple of weeks. Seems an odd decision to me.

Play offs are far from certain.

Looks like it's possibly a bit harsh but he seemed a bit of an odd appointment to begin with I though, good track record but not very recent. Considering they were battling it out right at the top of the table not that long ago you can see why they've acted to at least try and keep a good grip on the play offs.

It's not odd if you watch them. They aren't anywhere near what they were before he was appointed and he's made very strange decisions in terms of team selections. He never really fitted in and i think most will be happy he's gone.

Maybe they've tapped up a local manager whose name rhymes with snacket?

Had O'Driscoll done anything since Doncaster? Is he not another manager living of one good job like Saunders, Ince etc.

It's pretty remarkable how shite they've been recently; the worst home form in the league, conceding 12 in their last 6 :icon_eek:

McClaren in to 1/6 with BetVictor to be next PL manager to leave. Defies belief if he does somehow cling on.

His personal record since 28th Feb 2015:

P41 W8 D12 L21

He did alright at Forest i think.

From what I remember, Forest fans were well pissed when he was sacked, and we were touting him as a possible replacement to Solbakken or Saunders.

O' Driscoll was touted in the same way as Stuart Baxter was for about a decade. The logic being he's a Wolves fan therefore he'd make a good Wolves manager. Steve Davis got the same when we appointed Jackett, although I have to admit I wanted Davis!

McClaren to be sacked "within 48 hours" according to the Grauniad.

The headline says he was sacked, but the report says he resigned ???
The whole thing would make more sense if he'd have left !
