Key is if you’ve gone up your formula is right, you then just need to upgrade your weakest positions. ie Rui for Ruddy, Johnny for Douglas, Raul for Leo etc

That was easy for us as we were buying PL players in the Championship and Chris Wilder is doing a superb job of it right now. Smith and Farke haven't found it so easy though and that as you say comes down to good scouting and buying.

We also changed our formation midway through last season as our players hadn't adapted fully to life in the PL. I'm sure it will happen to Sheffield United too. Given the platform of a good season you can see how our players have really stepped up in class and learnt how to play at the top level so Jorge needs a special mention for his recruitment*

*this is a joke before it triggers SLA's second string.

Watford causing Liverpool a few problems so far. However it's probably only a matter of time before Liverpool score. Ben Foster might be timewasting a little bit too...

Doucoure should have put Watford ahead, Liverpool counter attack and score

Bit windy today I presume

It certainly is, the ball is blowing all over the shop. For the goal however he decided to come then tried to go back. Too late by then though.

Oh dear Sarr, wtf was that?

Baggies lose Diangana to what looks like a hamstring injury. Could be out for a while

Charlie Austin has just come on and scored two in 10 minutes to put WBA 3-2 up from 2-1 down. The first was a brilliant shot.

Villa parking the bus against Sheffield Utd. Grealish throwing himself on the floor repeatedly but the ref having none of it.

Leeds and Albion 13 points plus gd clear of the rest. Can't remember two sides running away with it like that before. Top team, but not two.

Can't stand either club, but no doubting they'll make for more eagerly waited games than Norwich or Watford

Nope, total rubbish. In our championship season we scored 82 goals (the most) and conceded 39 the same as Cardiff. Cardiff only scored 69 goals.

Of course the Championship season means cock all as it matters what signings you make in the summer and perhaps more importantly how your manager adapts the players to play in the league above.

So you're saying teams who attack well and are rubbish defensively in the championship actually do well in the premier league?

Buying a new team doesn't work, what's proven time and again is teams who do we'll have the same nucleus of players and the same ethos.
