The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

As I say thanks to Tony as I wasn't sure on that nuance. Sorry to say diving cunt. I will revise it to stamping cunt. It's a dreadful decision by Moss and VAR. I am that offended by it I almost want Villa to win to get back at that decision. Which is as likely as finding fairies at the bottom of my garden.

Like you I've no love for Villa, but I'm absolutely incredulous that it's not been overturned. Whomever is doing VAR tonight should be sacked, you've got to give the ref on the pitch the benefit of the doubt even if it is that fat prick Moss, no such excuse for VAR.

14 penalties for United now is it?

You can absolutely guarantee that if that's Wolves or Sheff United VAR spend 10 mins looking at it and then give Villa the free kick, surprised Konsa wasn't more angry! Astonishing, and Sky just pass it off as nothing at the time.

Just watch the referee’s positioning. He’s always in the way. It’s as if his eyesight has gone and he needs to be close to the action.

To be fair I've just seen Jonathan Moss leave Pogba for dead on that United counterattack...

And now 2 nil. Villa were doing pretty well and the penalty has destroyed them.

Moss is carrying less weight than Ndombele

That’s a terrific goal remember when Ricky Lambert was getting England call ups? Seems a long way away

Yeah he's a CH. When he did play earlier in the season he was in his proper position. I don't know why they're putting him there, regardless of how rubbish their other options are. It's a very British thing, loads of managers do it, if you're right footed then you might get parked there.

Neill Collins and Paul Blades both played tons of games for us at RB, Stears a little bit too.
Didn't Stears play RB for Leicester?

If De Gea gets beat by that at the other end Neville slaughters him for it. Roy Keane then threatens to murder his children at half time.

Just look at Mings tho on that goal and how high up the field he’s caught out

Fernandes did that vs Spurs. Sort of jumps into the opponent. Got overturned that time.

No love for Villa obviously but this is what winds people up, we're supposed to have consistency with VAR but we don't get it.
Same ref too IIRC?

Just seen the penalty incident. It's a shocker. If Diogo did that then there is no way VAR would give us a pen.

It's amazing that you can stamp on somebody's leg and get a penalty for it just because you play for Man Utd.

Mings is appalling. Why is he charging over halfway for no reason in the first place like EEL, then I think closing down is somewhat different to "standing six yards away and letting a top finisher have a dig". Right on half time too.

A total spoofer of a defender, Championship level.

Definitely much more of a foul on Jota yesterday!

Just amazed me that VAR gave it, barely even spent 20 seconds looking at it!?
