The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

I fully expect this to be a massacre. Even if our hopes are damaged the disposal of Villa down the garbage chute is a decent recompense.

To be fair Villa have started ok, pressing high up interesting to see how long they can keep it up.

United are doing the same as us against Grealish. Stand off. Don't let him throw a leg and fall over. It totally negates him.

Possibly unpopular but I’m glad to see Hause playing regularly in the PL

Do Sky have an obligation of how many times they have to mention Grealish a minute?

Number 10 Jack Grealish there, supposed to be playing off the striker, instead walking around near the halfway line as everyone else tries to build an attack and push forward.

Tactically he is rubbish.

How’s Matic still getting game time at Man Utd, they still look very ropey at the back and I’m still not convinced by McGuire.

Maguire is what he is. A somewhat agricultural head it away they shall not pass centre half. The problem is the stupid price tag United hung around his neck and living up to that.

That’s absurd I’m not a massive fan of Villa but that’s never a penalty

Fernandes did that vs Spurs. Sort of jumps into the opponent. Got overturned that time.

No love for Villa obviously but this is what winds people up, we're supposed to have consistency with VAR but we don't get it.

I'm watching those replays and a) I'm not convinced it was a foul, and b) if it was, the contact is on the chalk line so is that considered part of the penalty area, I can never remember whether it is outside of the lines and in or inside of the lines and out.

It's a disgrace, Sky not even questioning it.

Fernandes jumps in the air and lands on Konsa. Never a penalty in a million years.
