The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

After the way Sheffield United and Tammy Abraham have performed this season, I'm not sure I'm willing to predict anything for 2020/2021.

I know it’s little old boring Bournemouth but decision’s like that is why I’m glad the rules changing

Its not changing much. The change for example would still mean the Donck goal at Leicester was ruled out

No real problem with that call the ball goes in off his hand so it’s a fair shout.

There was literally nothing he could do to get his arm out of the way.

I’ve probably misread the BBC article then. My bad... move along nothing to see here

Eh surely a Spurs defeat benefits us?

Don’t see this Spurs as a threat to us, unless we screw up - if we do, we don’t deserve it - happy to see Bournemouth get relegated.

But you can’t have goals scored with a clear handball

Hard to tell but it can’t be right the last touch before it goes in the net is an attackers hand.

An accidental handball that didn’t impact on whether the ball went in or not - should that be ruled out?

No end of the day who does the goal get given to if you allow it? Basically your score via a part of the body that shouldn’t be used.

...but you would have scored anyway with a legitimate part of Wilson’s body.

But it didn’t that’s the problem you can’t ignore that fact unfortunately. Plus how do you judge a ball was going in or the keeper couldn’t have saved it?

I thought Konsa was supposed to be a center half? Every time I've seen him for Villa they've played him at right back and he just looks out of place there.

Both valid points - guess VAR might sometimes rule out a goal that would have happened anyway, but removes the subjectivity.

Yeah he's a CH. When he did play earlier in the season he was in his proper position. I don't know why they're putting him there, regardless of how rubbish their other options are. It's a very British thing, loads of managers do it, if you're right footed then you might get parked there.

Neill Collins and Paul Blades both played tons of games for us at RB, Stears a little bit too.

Yes ×2 apart from the spelling of centre[emoji3]

I fully expect this to be a massacre. Even if our hopes are damaged the disposal of Villa down the garbage chute is a decent recompense.
