Presume it was done to ensure the paperwork got to the FA to have him registered quicker. Bit like when teams sign a player on loan on deadline day to speed things up and then sort out the proper transfer later

Unless I am reading it wrong it says we/Atleti set the point where the transfer becomes permanent is either in July or after 3 games, whichever comes first

It is but I think we've seen the quality even in the very limited time we've seen him. Can't wait to see what he can do when he's fully upto speed and built some up some understandings with the players around him.

I agree, it’s a lot. On the flip side, he’s already contributed to more goals in a few sub appearances than the majority of our forward players combined.
