A Southampton fan I speak to semi regularly compared him to Pogba. Said he's got sky high ability but getting him to show it regularly was the issue.

I hadn't seen this article before, interesting as the way he talks about how he was previously is not good but maybe he has grown up now he's in his late 20's. One thing I do remember is in his first couple of games when he signed for Southampton is thinking what a good player he looked but then he soon seemed to fall out of favour and didn't really get any better at Fulham.

He's not a player i'd have picked out in a million years but A) he can't be a worse option to bring on than Hodge and B) I trust Lopetegui to get something out of him if he does sign.
