The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

I mean Hwang has to be the candidate. Doesn't even have a proper position, terrible technical ability, always gets injured multiple times a season so never puts together a run of games, his bad days are genuinely 0/10.

But you can only sell what someone will buy.

If Chiqi gets a ton of minutes then okay. Otherwise would definitely have preferred he stay.

Good move for Hoever, though, I still have some hope for him.

Another player who can actually score when he plays even if he is crap overall.

If Podence leaves, Hwang leaves, who the hell is scoring any goals. Putting all our hopes on Cunha and Sasa and maybe Neto. Recipe for disaster if you ask me.

There's a certain logic here. Put Doc in the Navas role and replace Dawson with Elvedi who is supposedly quite mobile.

It wouldn't shock me if we try this.
Have you been smoking mushrooms today?

Reasonable amounts?

He just literally went an entire year without a single goal, he is terrible. 8 goals in 57 games FFS.

Podence is going. I did say one of Neto or Hwang. Plus we’re after another wide player who can come inside and create/score. Scott is also being lined up to play a similar role from a bit deeper that RAN has been used in.
JL has been coaching a narrow 442/433 very fluid formation with the full backs a lot higher.
That would leave us RAN, Sarabia and one of Neto/ Hwang and maybe Scott.

Surely we're not relying on over the hill fullbacks who have lost their legs to supplement Bueno and Semedo? Semedo can't attack we've all seen that.

We're also pinning our hopes on Cunha, Silva, Raul and Sasa to score goals.

Got to trust Lop but that seems massively flawed to me and we haven't signed Scott yet.

Yeah sorry I worded my post badly. Is sensible from the club. If he has a good season protects his value a bit anyway (I know I know)
Ah, my bad. He did well there last season, hopefully he carries on.

I can't see Chiquinho going, at the moment he offers a point of difference that no-one else does, even if it's just replicating Adama's largely bench role (at miles less cost) from last season.
This aged well.

And I totally agreed with it.

We should have kept Chiquinho.

RAN can (should vs Creswell if we want them high) cover LB
