The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Just got back from a few days in Jersey. Food was rather disappointing tbqhwy.

:)

Might pop into one of the pubs in MD I have yet to visit for lunch tomorrow.

Def having the lamb but can't decide between the Sahara with ice cream or Gobi with custard to finish the meal

Looks good. They certainly satisfy the appetite!!
I've had them before and thought they were a bit too much but this one was on the recommendation of a local guy who helped us get tickets for Braga vs Porto and it was excellent.

Yeah, I've had them in Portugeuse cafes and restaurants in Jersey. Croque Monsieur +

Roast leg of (Welsh) lamb with (home grown) mint which was used to make the mint sauce
Jersey Royals (from L'Etacq) with Guernsey butter
Assorted vegetables.

I hear he does a wonderful Créme De Salade.

Fish and chips tonight. Bought some nice flathead fillets which are going to get a beer batter overcoat and have made homemade beef dripping for the fryer so that the final munch hopefully reminds of the chippy at the Black Country Living Museum. A taste of home awaits.

My 13 year old has tried a load of the recipes on here, quick and easy, but flavoursome and it's really getting her into it. Slow cookers are fantastic when you've time to prepare and are out for the day.
