Do you like any blue cheese?

I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese but I don't exactly hate it. I'd happily try it though. Except gorgonzola and I don't know exactly what it is about it I hate so much. But it makes me want to vom.
 
So if I made you a ribeye with "creamy blue cheese sauce" you would probably eat it, and then be horrified when I said I had used gorgonzola?

I think I'd know if it was gorgonzola.

TBH I wonder if I just dislike blue cheese? I hardly ever have it - the last time I tried it was in Rome, and that was the aforementioned demon cheese of death and hell. Ruined an otherwise incredible meal. To be on the safe side, you can make me a peppercorn or diane sauce. I bloody love them.
 
I've always preferred my steak without sauce. Nice and rare with a blob of nice wholegrain mustard on the side.
 
Nothing wrong with thinly spreading a steak with a little mustard (I would personally go for Dijon) when seasoning before cooking.
 
I like my steak and chips with gravy. Then a bit of Oxo cube sprinkled over it to melt into it.
 
Fucking hell Bear thats disgusting. The sprinkled oxo cube over the top of it part. Why would you do that?

You sprinkle an oxo cube over the top of it?!? That's the weirdest thing I think I've read on this thread. Which is no mean feat.
 
I was disappointed, I thought he was gonna say he likes his steak with salad cream.

That would make more sense. Still utterly ridiculous, but better than putting fucking Oxo onto it :icon_lol:

Anyway - how do we like our steaks cooked? Got to be rare for me.
 
Thats like saying you make gravy with bisto granules, then sprinkle more granules on top of your meal! Why?
