A huge portobello mushroom covered in melted blue cheese and a green salad.
 
Fries, various salad, coleslaw & (for Pav's benefit) a proper Melton Mowbray pork pie (with Branston pickle)
 
Tried spaghetti carbonara for the first time tonight. Worked a bloomin' treat - my kids loved it and have asked me to cook it again next Wednesday.

And not a slow cooker in sight this time.

My favourite Italian (apart from Gina Lollabridgida - but then I'm from that generation). Good that the kids enjoyed it
 
I've never tried carbonara.

I do love pasta though.
 
Stopped off at Tebay services on the way back from Scotchland and picked up a gorgeous pork tenderloin stuffed with cumberland sausage and wrapped in bacon (the farm shop in there is fucking brilliant BTW - a must visit for me every time I am coming back south). Just gave it a gentle fry with some butter, thyme, sage and rosemary and into the oven for a bit of a roast. Going to make a marsala sauce with it and serve with some nice saute tatties. She who must be obeyed has a few pork medallions cooked in mustard, stock, lemon zest and lemon juice and roasted veggies with thyme.

Lip-smacking smells coming from the kitchen and I can't fookin wait.
 
Meat stuffed with meat, wrapped in meat. Sounds like my kinda dinner :D
 
Had to stay behind at work today as we had to do a thorough stock take in readiness for the company being sold next week. I was bloody knackered when I finished but walked through the door just as the kebab and chips my wife had ordered for me was being delivered. Nice :)
 
Mountain Pies, salad, & Deep Tomato Pie.

Huge Marshmallows on sticks.
 
Just fetched an Indian for a bit later for after the Japan match. Rezala chicken, mushroom bhaji and gobi paratha.
