The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

t3ch that looks like it needs some sauce, looks as dry as a nuns chuff.

which, the pasta? was definitely not dry. it had a bunch of melted ricotta, parmesan, and butter.

That looks like my kind of food!

Caprese with nectarines is interesting. Recommended?

Very recommended. I made it with cucumber (basically your usual caprese + tangerine), but the recipe had it right in leaving it out. Whole leaves of basil were too much.

Nothing tonight, I'm stuffed from me lunch.

Indian Takeway......or as it turned out - Sri Lankan Chicken Curry.

Bollocks to cooking tonight, moving office shit from one side of Wolverhampton to the other is knackering.

You like your chicken dont you Kenny, your last 3 meals on here have been chicken!

Just got back from Athens with Acropolis one, and we hit the huge meat market in the centre. It is ridiculously cheap, we bought all sorts of meat, but i was responsible for 4 kilos of beef liver, that only cost 6 euros the lot, ha ha.

I had a piece as big as me, cooked like a medium rare fillet steak, with caramelised fried onions, a pavlos gravy and roast spuds, cut like fat chips, with spinach and fresh peas.

bloody lovely and i brought a load back with me, ha ha ha.

You gorra bargain there Pav. But the thing with liver is the few things you can do with it other than with onions or make it in to pate. What else do you do wth it ?

Cheese, onion n potato pie with sausages and beans. One of my favourites :)

It makes for a cheaper steak and kidney pie, (cheaper by miles than kidney) i use it a lot in mezzes here it's perfect with cypro and ouzo. with red and green peppers and fried in a little soya and butter. But i also cook it in the wok, with vegetables and some teryaki sauce added as a chinese stir fry dish.
Best served meiuim rare with a wacking great squirt of fresh lemon juice on it though.

Just had my breakfast, ha ha , bacon fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, and 'tatties' irish style. Potatoes boiled in the jackets, peeled , left to cool and then fried in bacon fat or goose fat. with a fresh crusty loaf mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Never thought of stir frying it Chinese style, might have to give that a try.

Breakfast sounded tasty, I could almost smell it :)

Fish and chips from Birches Bridge tonight. Ideal pre-rugby food.
