The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Oh man i would give somebody else's right arm, for fish chips and mushy peas right now, especially if they were from the award winning shop in Clent village.

Sorry to disappoint but mine will just be fish & chips from the freezer and mushy peas from a tin. No chip shop I'm afraid. Plenty of bread and butter though.

Tonights theme ' homemade '.Homemade Steak n Kidney Pudding, , homemade chips, homemade mushy peas. Old fashioned Sherry Trifle for laters.

My homemade lasagna. With garlic ciabattas and salad for the rabbits that want it. Om nom nom.

I prefer Steak and Kidney as a pie. I just prefer the crisper pastry from a textural point of view. Both are very very tasty though.

My love of it is probably partly nostalgia - I was the only one in the family who liked it so my mum used to make individual ones for me when I was home from boarding school

Steak n Kidney Pudding always reminds me of me Nan and when I was little. I'd sit in her kitchen watching her make them :)

Gammon, couple of potato wedges, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and peas.

Just had a Special Curry (I add a nice hot sauce to it), Rice & Chips (Mrs HW had Vegetables in a Black Bean Sauce with Rice & Chips) from the local takeaway.

Because we don't have it very often, it was a real treat.

Haggis. Never been a fan of neeps though, so with mashed potatoes, peas and a whisky cream sauce.

Did the lamb hotpot today (should have been last Sunday, but got the wrong container out of the freezer)

Lovely - with the benefit of only one casserole dish to wash up as all goes in together

Haggis. Never been a fan of neeps though, so with mashed potatoes, peas and a whisky cream sauce.

And had some left over, so haggis potato cakes with poached eggs for breakfast.
