The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

I admit to liking Vesta curries - and Vesta paella for that matter.

Are they easy to find in the Midlands? I have to walk miles to find Vestas where I live, and usually buy four or five at a time.

The corn curry was awesome! Bit messy to eat though as it had big bits of corn on the cob floating about in it and I was wasted at the time.

I've actually had sprout pakoras before and they were class! Nothing on the haggis pakora from my local indian though. Lush.

That's it, stop talking now, just stop it :)

I had curry curry tonight.

With a dash of curry on top.

I worship curry, but I could never understand how some people have to so hot that all they taste is spices and heat, when something is painful to eat surely that is wrong ?

You'd better ask Paddy that one.....

Its like my statement was veering in that direction :)

I also love curries, I like mine quite spicy and hot, but not too hot.I can't see how eating something that makes you cry, makes your lips burn, your throat sore, and your arse hurt the following morning can be seen as enjoyable.

Tolerance differs tbf. If you can 'train' (for want of a better word) your mouth to tolerate heat, you're opening yourself up to different flavours. Different chillis have different flavours, and so add different things to food. Treating/cooking chillis will also affect flavour. Chipotle and pickled jalapeño will taste completely different, but it's the same raw ingredient.

Well...we're all gonna DIE here,a new bacteria in chickens discovered and it isn't bothered by antibiotics. :sick-gurney:
