The Goggle Box Thread

The pilot was hosted by none other than that sesquipedalian nonce, Stuart Hall.
Don't remember that, tbh I liked Stuart Hall in 'It's a Knockout' obviously that was before any of the stuff was known widely about him.

I didn’t know that. I thought the early shows were David Vine before Coleman took over but that was before my time.

With both Hall and Vine. He did the on field commentary of the marathon round which was always complete chaos and genuinely funny stuff

Mist of the shows were Hall and Waring, there were more hosts than I realised over the years. I loved the show when I was young. Also 'Superstars' was another favourite of mine.

I never liked Stuart Hall. He used to do the match summaries (usually Man Utd or Citeh) for Sports Report, radio roundup on Saturday evenings.

They were always a strange mixture of eloquent and frankly bizarre! My dad used to love sports report.

What was the show that 'Route One' came from? Mike Read hosted it, I think.

Really enjoyed Scott Pilgrim Takes Off; it certainly goes in a different direction from episode two onwards.

Also binged The Tick again. A shame it got cancelled 😞

I liked Runaround when I was a mere pup. If I had my way it would be up near Knightmare and The Adventure Game on the list of kids programmes that should be revived
