The Goggle Box Thread

I watched a programme last night reconstructing the Moors murders. The good lady and myself sat there speechless as the depravity of Hindley and Brady unfolded. These two monsters should rot in hell for eternity for their sickening crimes against innocent children.
 
Twin Peaks starts again today.
Fuck me I'm desperate to watch it. I only have poor people tv though.
Guess I'm looking at torrent sites or something...
 
Never watched it, but the amount of hype that's been generated about it is unbelievable !
 
Sat through Channel 5's greatest films of the 80's. A great big steaming hair sprayed turd of a programme where Dirty Dancing was number 2.

Never knocking Top Gun. But any 80's film list not containing Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, Predator, Once upon a Time in America, The Untouchables or Highlander isn't worth any airtime.

And it had Crocodile bloody Dundee and Fame. Atrocious.
 
Nope. No Escape from New York, Terminator, Platoon, Full metal Jacket, Airplane, Caddyshack, Planes, Trains and Automobiles or even Bladerunner.

Abysmal.
 
Not having Predator or Terminator is shocking.

Just finished Agents Of Shield S4 which after a dodgy Ghost Rider storyline in the first half of the season, really kicked ass in the second half with some fantastic perfomances as well as action scenes. Looks like they might be setting up a possible tie in with the Infinity Wars for S5.
 
Anybody watching Designated Survivor? Fucking loving it! It's basically a cross between 24 and House of Cards. Awesome show!

Yeah, it is pretty good isn't it? I didn't expect much after the first two episodes but I was hooked after the fourth. His kids are possibly the worst sub-plot I've ever seen but other than that it's quality.

Jack Bauers daughter was an absolute pain in the arse, shite sub-plot in just about every 24 she appeared in
 
Watched the first episode a couple of days ago, found it OK, but not amazing. So worth continuing?

At least she had a storyline and was a major character, no matter how shit, but the kids in this one have had about twenty minutes screen time with one of them having a major plot device based around them. They really may as well not be in it.
 
I'd say no without even seeing it. Everyone I've seen comment on it who are watching at US pace, say it's ridiculous and just gets worse.
 
The Handmaid's Tale on C4 Sunday. First episode was fantastic. Properly creepy and unpleasant in places but great writing and acting.
