The Goggle Box Thread

I can't remember how many seasons of Homeland we'd watched before we stopped. Maybe we should start watching again.

Edit: I think we watched up until the end of Season 3.

you should. personally i found the brody storyline in seasons 1/2 pretty ridiculous so for me it's been far better since then.

Totally knackered after 6 hrs training with County Bowls coaches today (plus having to spend an hour watering in the new turf)

Nothing else on so have been bingeing on Family Guy

For LJ's benefit their take on '12 Angry Men' is delicious.

Since I first found Family Guy (many years ago) I have not watched an episode of the Simpsons since :)

Sadly The Simpsons has now been appalling for way longer than it was good. Although I can still go into any of the first 10 seasons and there's gold, even if I've seen them all innumerable times.

Family Guy is fucking shit. South Park nailed it (excuse the woeful quality of the video):

Never seen that before, very good! I actually still enjoy family guy but the earlier seasons were better. I also love South Park and rick & morty.

I'm a bit of a Simpsons nerd for seasons 1-10 but it's been shit for an extremely long time now

Best show on tv just started its final season.

Didn't realise they'd done more than one season. I watched season one to the end even though I had no real clue what it is was supposed to be offering. I'd watch season two just out of morbid curiosity if I knew where to find it although I doubt I'd enjoy it.

Having said that, I thought Christopher Ecclestone played a fantastic part and the episode where he went to the casino was actually pretty damn good.

'The Last Kingdom' continues to impress

Much taken with the casting as the characters very much mirror the image I have of them from the books - only one who 'jars' is the actor playing Steapa (leader of Alfred's household troops).

Nowhere near big or scary looking enough to do merit to the way he is described - then again suspect that it would have been almost impossible to have actually found anyone who did look like he is described

Unfortunately the Mountain (Thor the strongman) has been taken but he would've been just right.

'Man made planet:Earth from Space'

Some stunning shots of our planet from up high, but this just turned into a propaganda film against global warming & the idiocy of mankind.

Now I'm not saying that we have not altered the environment detrimentally, but this was just OTT

Line of Duty series 4 was fucking amazing, I seriously hope they make more.

Lucky Man series 2 was OKish, nothing groundbreaking but passed the time.

Homeland season 7 was top quality as usual right up to the end. #gay4quinn

24: Legacy to finish tonight, watchable but not a patch on the Bauer days...

Now watching Outcast season 2, pretty decent if you're into dark, depressing 'horror' dramas. Just started Taken on Amazon as well and it looks promising.
