The Football News Thread 2025/26

Never, current league sides we’ve never played Bromley, Salford (first team) Fleetwood, Harrogate possibly barrow. The rest we’ve played in a league or Fa cup game.
Plus we’ve played Wimbledon in their old version
We've played Barrow in the FA Cup.

Fair play to Palace. They've waived their share of gate receipts vs Macc so they keep the lot bar the 10% that goes to the FA.

On the other hand, Man City refused to give Exeter (in serious financial trouble) a penny more than they're obliged to.

Would they? I've seen it happen tons of times at PL level. Our very own Keith Curle always used to do it at Man City.

It's IFAB's call anyway.

The only stipulation is (and always has been) that you can't deliberately flick it up with your foot and then thigh/chest/head it back.

I've never got it, you can't pass it back with your foot, but can with your head and your thigh. It's a gloried pass back and personally shouldn't be allowed if the one action is deemed it.

Aye, I'm definitely against it when it's structured move when one cunt chips it up and the other cunt knees it back. I'm sure originally there was there was something about penalising moves like that that were against the 'spirit' of the law

No big deal is it? It’s not actually that easy to do it most the time. Mosquera nearly scored an own goal doing it. If it wasn’t in the rules he’d have been clearing in instead.
