I really hope they are extra careful with Jonny - we don't really need him back urgently and need to make sure we don't have any other issues so soon after pretty much 2 years out.

When he is back - do we drop RAN? Not so sure..

I agree, wonder when he is back if we will rotate our WBs so that they all get a bit of recovery time and also depending on opponents.

Not sure I could take Jonny breaking down again. Although it seems the second was something that could have been picked up first time and wasn't I'd still err on the side of caution with a few 15/20 min cameos before I thought about starting him.

Bruno said Neto joined training in the new year and should be back mid Feb.

There is more discussion about Wolves here in the non-Wolves section than there is in the Jan Transfer Window thread! :ROFLMAO:

I was out for a couple of hours last night and got back to see a post about Traore being of to Barcelona with several more pages to read.

Surely there must be something in the rumour I thought?

Unfortunately my excitement diminished when the next few pages weren't discussing the transfer but were discussing names used to describe female genitalia.

Some of Charlotte FC's STH prices for the upcoming inaugural season are upward of $2500.

Just got mine the Supporter's Section (two levels behind one of the goals) for much less than that, but fucking yikes.

What kind of crowds are they expecting?

Between 30k and 40k, judging from the sections they're using in the stadium (BoA Stadium is an NFL-first venue).

That’s more expensive than Spurs or Arsenal. Blimey.
God damned NFL has made Americans think that all outdoor sports are allowed to be stupidly expensive.

Suppose Tepper (CLTFC and Carolina Panthers owner) is trying to get sticker shock out of the way early, as he'll need to fund a brand new stadium just for the club in a few years. Although I've no idea where they'll put it. Charlotte isn't exactly overflowing with cheap real estate.

City centre location or grounds in their traditional neighbourhood are what we hanker for here, but I guess with it being a new franchise and US supporters having less or a working class pub culture means that it will be in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Cheapest land available with a massive car park. We just don't have that same space and certainly less of a desire to drive out of town.

Unfortunately I've only been to one US stadium [when England played Ecuador in Miami] but going for a beer pre match involved a decent taxi ride to a bar.

Actually it's pretty safe to say this won't be the case; to Don Garber's credit, he's been extremely strict about the location of these stadiums and things have definitely changed culturally in a way that sports venues out in podunk nowhere just aren't sustainable anymore. Chicago Fire left their old stadium in the suburbs around Chicago to play in Soldier Field (in downtown Chicago).

So Tepper likely has a good plan for the stadium in place. I just can't imagine what the cost of it will be.

As an aside, Charlotte has a surprisingly lively bar culture. Not quite the same as UK pubs, from what I understand, but I don't think you guys would feel too out of place on a matchday morning in uptown.

How much are the match tickets though? Surely they don't sell out every game?

No idea what GA prices are. Didn't look as I knew I wanted a season ticket.

I'm honestly not sure what to expect at our first home match in March. Could easily see it being packed or borderline empty. Hard to gauge this town sometimes.

Alan, I was in NYC briefly at the weekend and saw that live sports betting has now been legalised in NY state. Can you see this becoming the norm? I'd always found it interesting that the spiritual home of the free market had such strict live betting laws.

Not that I expected us to be, but we're not on.

I think e-Betting has forced the government's hand a little bit, but I think it will still be slow going.

Otherwise, though, I'm not qualified to say. Not much of a gambler, personally, so I haven't kept up.
