Klopp has been fined £75,000 and banned for two games. 1 game suspended till the end of next season in case he's not naughty again.
They ought to fuck off with all this 'you mustn't criticise the ref' bollox.
If the refs weren't so useless and consistently wrong, and VAR was operated better, then managers wouldn't be saying bad things.
Try getting in somebody's face at work and see what happens to you.

I think Klopp got off lightly. He should've got an 8-10 game ban.

It sends the wrong message out to all the wannabe Klopp's at u9 level who will now get in the face of officials.

Yeah, there's criticising a ref's decision in a press conference, and there's giving the 4th official the hair dryer treatment. He should've been made an example of for me, his behaviour was disgraceful

Is there any sport other than football where the refs get disrespected so much?

Tennis umpires get shit but its hard to get in their face as they sit 10 feet above everyone

You cannot be serious...

Victim blaming.

WH has commented without knowing the incident he was commenting about
I think you're wrong.
Wasn't this the one where he was striding around being histrionic and he pulled his hamstring or something?
Yes, I saw it and yes I agree with Johnny it does set a bad example to kids and no he shouldn't be doing that shit, but my remarks about 'not or mustn't criticise the refs' was meant in a much broader sense. Particularly in the after the game corner delivered to camera, bloody ridiculous that the refs can't be criticised or spoken about in a negative manner.

But Klopp has harmed attempts at greater transparency and accountability in the wider game by behaving like a complete helmet.

They get shit like that and all it does is give PGMOL more reason to circle the wagons.

Missed trick in a way, because the FA, Premier League, PMGOL and others are currently discussing the continuing rise of active dissent from players and managers. Despite increasing cards, there continues to be an escalation of incidents.
As many have said, Klopps behaviour was atrocious, and unacceptable. This was an opportunity to make a proper statement about such behaviour, and it hasn't been taken.

So you made a point unrelated to the example you cited?

You leave us Under 9 wannabe Klopps alone!

On a serious point, I genuinely have seen it twice this season where an opposition manager/coach has shouted and sworn at a ref. On one occasion the ref was 15, it needs stamping out at the highest level or it filters down

Wigan not paid the players on time and EFL have announced they will start next season on -4 points

More points will be deducted if they fail to pay on time in June

Klopp now saying he will only pay the fine if it goes to 'a good cause'. Comes across as a right prick pretending to be the good guy when he is setting a terrible example of abusing match officials.
