Milner just asked about it, doesn't like it and hopes it doesn't happen.
It's a bit different though - you and I need to work til we're 60. I doubt there's a player over 23 in those 6 who'd ever need to worry about money even if they didn't earn another pennyIt’s a job to them though, if the Man City of my career came in for me and offered me a shed load more money I’d have to seriously consider it. Likewise you’d seriously consider losing that before you’d rock the boat.
I think Milner was even inviting the question on to be fair. He seem agitated to say something and turned the question itself into an opportunity to hit out. Big credit.Big credit to Milner. Easy to duck the question but didn't.
Watched the interview, can confirm he drops the Norweigan equivalent of the F bomb.Is that a real quote? Where is it from?
Found part of it - No swearing though, although that is translated
I think it's the worst that can happen. I just hate the thought of it. That's the worst thing about football, for me it's a hopeless idea. Juventus, for example, have been eliminated early (in the Champions League journ note) three years in a row against teams from Portugal, France and the Netherlands. What story does it have? I would say that Tottenham is also not among the 30 best clubs in Europe to date, Solbakken says to Dagbladet.

Norges Fotballforbund har ingen tro på opprettelsen av en superliga i europeisk fotball, og mener at den er et brudd på solidaritet. Landslagssjef Ståle Solbakken (53) raser mot prosjektet.www.dagbladet.no
Bring on German-style fan ownership. In a statement to the House of Commons, Mr Dowden criticised the so-called "big six" English clubs for going "against the very spirit of the game".
He added that owners "should remember that they are only temporary custodians of these clubs and that they forget fans at their peril".
A fan-led review, due to take place after the pandemic, has been brought forward because of the ESL announcement, Mr Dowden said.
It would be led by former sports minister Tracey Crouch and "consider how fans can have an even greater say in the oversight of the game and models which might best achieve that", he added.
The review also look at the finances of the men's and women's game, its governance and whether an independent football regulator should be set up.
Mr Dowden said he had spoken to Uefa and the Football Association, who both oppose the move by the 12 clubs, adding that, "if they can't act, we will".
"We will put everything on the table to prevent this from happening," he told MPs. "We are examining every option from governance reform to competition law and mechanisms that allow football to take place.
"We will be reviewing everything Government does to support these clubs to play. We will do whatever it takes to protect our national game."
Earlier Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the government was "going to look at everything that we can do with the football authorities to make sure that this doesn't go ahead in the way that it's currently being proposed".
Downing Street said ministers were looking at a "range of options", including a German-style system of fan ownership of clubs and clawing back coronavirus support loans.
I would imagine 99% of the players and managers don't sit well with any of it. I guess some will speak out, and some won't.I think Milner was even inviting the question on to be fair. He seem agitated to say something and turned the question itself into an opportunity to hit out. Big credit.
If the owners came out and talked to the media then the shit could be directed at them personally, but they are too chicken shit to even appear in public, never mind talk on camera.Klopp misreading the room. A beauty to learns Leeds not only wore those shirts, they even put them in the Liverpool dressing room. He's right that's not going to bring a togetherness, but he's massively wrong to think it's about the players. Same with the boo-ing. At that moment, it's not about the players, it's the symbolism and what they represent.
It's a tough life, I've been telling you for years...I bet that stressed his translator out..
Hopefully they will stand firm, and ask the question who needs who more?I would imagine 99% of the players and managers don't sit well with any of it. I guess some will speak out, and some won't.
Hopefully tomorrow the 14 clubs reps issue an ultimatum to the 6 clubs. Set up this league and you leave the PL, and if you want to return then you start in league 2.
We can all hope that they are brave enough, but in reality they will not have the bollocks to do it. But glad to see Fosun and Wolves very much opposed to it.
It's shocking the way they have timed this, but i'm not surprised. Driven by the yanks who are desperate for this business model because they live for the mighty dollar. It's ingrained in their business culture. You can see in their quotes about this money grab.
"It's all about us, fuck the rest of you".
They misread the sitation, they have left spaces for 3 more clubs to be part of the golden circle, but there doesnt seem to be a rush (at least publicly) to fill the spaces. They need PSG & Bayern (& probably Dortmund) to be included to make it viable and it doesnt look like they will get them. It's a tough life, I've been telling you for years...
Carra is spot on, people need to keep speaking out and once one of the 12 has second thoughts it'll collapse. The goodwill is gone forever though, it's a PR disaster.
