They've been so lucky to stay out of danger this season. On every metric they're nearly the worst. Fluked some results and somehow got clear. Incredibly they weren't actually that bad against us in either game but generally they are proper shit.

Wonder if the fans will take the Saudi flags out of their Twitter profiles now?

So it seems Ashley has got himself £17m from this deal not happening. Covers some of his retail losses I guess.

So, they are still stuck with Ashley now?

Stuck with him FOREVER

On this one, I don't think the PL wanted to make the decision and deny the takeover so they just ignored all calls/emails/bribes/texts until they gave up and walked away themselves

Ok, they didnt wanna get involved in the mess maybe..

Yeah, they were very lucky not to have been in a proper relegation battle. In fact for a lot of the season I’d say they were the worst team in the league. Since the restart, they were slightly better with their attacking players performing quite well.

If they keep Bruce I think they will be in trouble though come next season

Leeds *should* be better than them and I would back Brighton to be as well if Potter carries on building the squad. Doesn't leave much breathing space.

Brighton will be interesting next season. 1st half of the season you could see how Potter wanted them to play and they looked good at times but it all seemed to go tits up so he flipped them back to Brighton under Hughton to ensure they stayed up.

I thought they were good in the 2-2. Of course we should have put them away but once we didn't, they were good value for a point. Played well in some other games I watched too.

He needs to weed out the players who have been there too long and start on his own path.

Palace are a mystery as no-one knows what is going on with their finances. Sold AWB last summer and spent nothing. Who's to say the same won't happen with Zaha this year (although I don't know who'll buy him, he's been shit all season). Seem determined to exist without actually owning a proper striker.

I think Newcastle will go as it stands, Ashley won't spend owt and Bruce is still fucking garbage.

Jim Shite hs been on the phone ot a 'devastated' Amanda Staveley who says the Saudis were ready to plough a further £250m into the club, academy and community. She also asked him to 'put it out there' that they won't be going away

There is no way the PL are letting them in but equally they won’t say no as they really don’t want their board to get quietly dismembered. They will just keep prevaricating as making a decision either way is a nightmare. The Saudis will go off and buy a non-English club instead. Probably AS Roma

Beautifully summed up. Sportswashing is a foul practice. Shame City owners got through but at least this truly reprehensible lot have been stopped at the gates.

No Kylian Mbappe on the way then?

Snigger.
