The Football News Thread 2017/18 - everything not Wolves

Huddersfield look in serious peril to me. They aren't going to get another point all season and 35 probably won't be enough, Southampton should win one game.

Soton are away at Everton and Home to Man City either side of their game they have to win which is Swansea away. I think that game decides who goes down.

I think that the current bottom three will go down. I can see Swansea beating Southampton and Stoke City, which would guarantee their safety. Huddersfield Town have a tough run in but they might just pick up a point or two.

They could conceivably beat Everton, they're still horsepiss no matter what the Count of Monte Bisto says.

I do like that phrase, every time I see him I think of Mr Creosote. Stoke have Palace at home and Swansea away. If Stoke win both then I can see Huddersfield and Swansea going.

Sorry I just had too. The resemblance is uncanny.

My uncle in-law if that's even a thing - was having a break down at a family wedding quite a while back about going down. I *almost* feel sorry for them, having it drawn out so long. Feels like ages since they've been done-for but they aren't actually done-for yet!

Edit: Albion, that is..

Sky have lost the UK rights to show La Liga to Eleven Sports.

Never heard of them? They are run by the cry baby owners of Leeds United

Those Spanish rights are what his company is being investigated for.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been taken to hospital. Sounds pretty serious, will be going into surgery this evening

Darren Ferguson missed Doncaster's game to be at the Hospital

Horrible news, fingers crossed for him

Not great:

From Man Utd: “Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery today for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery.

His family request privacy in this matter.

Ends

The Sky interview with Gavin Strachan was extremely poor I felt. Shouldn't have been broadcast as they fished for info from the assistant.

Can come back from that & hopefully he will. Daughter in law had one last year & she is (almost) fully recovered & back at work albeit with a few adjustments as to what she can achieve

If I'm honest I thought he'd be the sort to pass away quite quickly after retiring. Glad to have been wrong, of course.

All the best for him.

Obviously it is very serious, but hopefully Sir Alex will pull through. Football and its rivalries seem irrelevant at the moment.

Don't like Bolton, never will, but I'm happy for StuntPeg today and when you read the masoginistic crap about her from elsewhere (you all know where I mean) then that increases my respect for her. She's 16(?), so born after '95, to see scumbags discuss whether or not they'd shag her just appalls me and I'm delighted I don't normally go there any more. The reason I left that forum is because when Bolton were potentially going bust they were wallowing in it.

Not everyone has wrote things like that.
