Horrible qualifying draw in the Europa League qualifiers for Southampton, Vitesse is as hard as it gets at that stage.

West Ham should find their way past Inverness Caley with a degree more ease.

An update on the new Spurs ground - http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/new...ent-project-updated-designs-and-plans-080715/

The massive, single tiered home end looks awesome.

Just noticed today, apologies if it's already been mentioned, the Premier League kick off the same weekend as the Football League.

Euro's?

Caley lost yesterday tho.

Steven Gerrard enjoyed a pretty good start to life in MLS, assisting twice and scoring once in a 5-2 LA win over San Jose.

Barcelona are currently holding talks for a sponsorship deal with Japanese e-commerce giants 'Rakuten' to possibly replace Qatar Airways in 16/17.

Barcelona receive about 35m from the sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways, with Rakuten they are expected to generate double the figure to about 70m.

Understandable but it's a shame that Barca finally succumbed to shirt sponsorship as up until about 10 years ago they refused to adorn their shirts with logos and when they did, it was a charitable affair with Unicef to start with

I know this is likely a cardinal sin of fandom, but standing for an entire sporting event is one of the things that puts me off from ever going to Am. football games anymore. Just let me sit and watch and occasionally yell at the ref, I've got a fucking bum knee!

It's personal preference isn't it, I wouldn't like to stand on a terrace as I make Scott Golbourne look like a giant. But then I wouldn't be forced to, I could go and buy a seat somewhere else in the ground....whereas those who would prefer to stand currently don't have that choice.

Rotherham are obviously staying at the Hilton in Dunblane and training at Stirling Uni. Bumped into Steve Evans and the 'lads' last night in my local Indian having a nice healthy pre-season Jalfrezi. :icon_lol:

Maybe it was just Steve Evans eating alone & showing the players what not to eat as they build up for a season of football.

Steve Evans always looks like he is on the brink of a fatal heart attack

A good interesting piece about pre season at Swansea.

This is a club where they monitor sleep patterns at home to check their players are in the best condition to perform. They have even invested in a drone that films training sessions from above so that every angle is covered when they trawl back through the footage – as they do at the end of each day – and edit the clips to highlight what worked well and what could have been done better as part of their feedback to the players.

West Brom owner Jeremy Peace says the club has suspended takeover talks with an unnamed party.

"I entered into an exclusivity arrangement in good faith after agreeing terms for the sale," said Peace in a statement on the club website. "But it is now clear to me that this potential purchaser is unable to fulfil the terms of that agreement at this time."

Wales are seeded for the World Cup Qualification draw. Its amazing how skewed the FIFA rankings are if a side that hasn't qualified for a major championship since gods dog was a puppy is seeded ahead of the likes of France and Italy. They have had two excellent results against Belgium but apart from that all they've done is beaten the might of Israel, Cyprus and Andorra!
