Fellaini and Huth both charged by the FA following their handbags situation on Sunday. Three game bans possibly await them both.

Only a matter of time before this fucking nonsense wormed its way into football. I absolutely hate the way 'entertainment' is unnecessarily shoe horned into sporting events. The match itself should be all that's needed, why the extra OTT bullshit? Just get on with it FFS. It's one of the reasons I dislike the NFL so much (that and I find watching the actual sport itself worse than cricket).

An event to open a tournament like the World Cup or Olympics is rather different as that's a great opportunity to display and celebrate a bit of national identity/culture as the eyes of the world are on them for a few weeks but this is just money making bullshit that has jack all to do with football.

So few football fans go to the Champions League final its hardly a concern.

Of that 80,000, each team will receive 20,000 tickets each.

Dembele charged by the FA. Already told that the standard 3 game ban will not be sufficient due to the nature of the incident (on this one, for the FA to act the Officials have to say they didn't see the incident......have to ask how on earth the Assistant Ref can say that as he was right by the incident and was looking at it)

Chelsea & Spurs also charged for failing to control their players

I wonder what kind of ban the FA will be looking at?

It's just where the Green Brigade stand so it wont make a difference at all. Hopefully they don't fuck it up for everyone though.

Just seen that 'chinky' loving victim of an horrific leg breaking challenge taking the plaudits on the pitch at Blackpool as his team win 4-0 and return to the Championship.

Always thought when he 'retired' as chairman when they got relegated,he didn't want to be associated with failure, looks like I was probably right, now he's back because they've been promoted, still on the bright side,it's two games to sing about Norman deeley

Spurs close to agreeing a deal to play home games at Wembley for the 2017/18 Season according to Greg Dyke

Chelsea might be making it their home Stadium for 3 Seasons when they start to re-develop Stamford Bridge

7 was the maximum according to SSN.

Sky News in talking bollocks shocker. Paul Davis got banned for 9 games for breaking Glenn Cockerill's jaw in '88 and there's plenty longer than that for drugs, cheating and pushing referees.

Ben Thatcher got an 8 game ban for that elbow years back with a suspended 15 game ban.

Cameroon and Dinamo Bucharesti midfielder Patrick Ekeng has died on the pitch today. He was 26 years old. Cause of death not yet confirmed, Romanian media reporting he had a heart attack.

Awful. I still remember the shock of seeing Marc Vivienne Foe die on the pitch, watching it live I suddenly realised this was no act, and then seeing it begin to circulate on the media minutes later.

Apparently he was dead before they got him off the pitch. The footage is on youtube, but I, for one, will not be watching it.

Must have such an impact on the players, coaches, fans, etc. who were present.

George Thorne suffers double leg break. Nasty injury to get anytime but with the Play Offs coming up that is a killer

Also, for the attention of a certain M.K player - When you are involved in an incident that leaves the other player with a serious injury this is a small gesture you can make rather than being silent

Ipswich midfielder Jonathan Douglas, who was involved in the incident with left Thorne injured, had earlier posted a message on social media wishing the Derby man a "speedy recovery".

Douglas added: "Absolutely gutted with what happened with George. In no way did I intend on hurting him - I was just trying to block his shot and help my team.

"I did apologise to him on the pitch and would like to put it on record again that I am sorry."

Law changes for next season.

Denying a clear goal scoring opportunity in the penalty area will be a yellow card offence (Mark Harlsey was obviously years ahead of the game)

Refs can Red Card a player before a game but if that happens they can be replaced so the team starts with 11. (So pick your worst player, ask him to do a 2 footed challenge as they walk out on the oppositions star player, he gets crocked, your player is red carded and replaced with someone decent. Jobs a good ,un)
