Cambridge will be absolutely delighted about their dream tie being moved to a Friday fucking night. Same with Rochdale being marooned on a Monday night.

As for BT - Liverpool v Bolton ahead of Blues against the Albion???? Really???

Disappointing, and yet utterly predictable.

Don't think Cambridge will give a shit TBH. Sell out + TV money, they would play it at 4am on a Tuesday to get that cash

It is the plum tie of the draw, and in my view only obviously, should have the prime TV slot. Financially, it will make no dice for Cambridge at all either way, but I think it is a nicety that could and should have been observed.

BBC have clearly marked Friday as their day for the FA Cup (3rd Rd not included as Prem teams were resting that day). So in that respect, it is a prime TV slot. Not everyone gets to replace Eastenders on the BBC schedule (not even the 9/11 events managed that)

Fookin Sky will cover anything these days....

Fulham defender Sean Kavanagh is set to sign a new desk at the club. #ffc

"A board member told BBC sports editor Dan Roan the decision was taken because of "enormous pressure from sponsors and threats to staff and their families".

If Ched Evans had partied on coke/booze all night, then killed a dad-of-4, done a runner & got 6yrs in jail - Oldham would have signed him.

Guess that's his career over until his appeal goes through (if at all).

Evans is making a statement this afternoon according to the BBC

1 board member was told the address of where his daughter works, and was told she'd be raped if the club proceeds.

The logic behind that threat!!!

Is that the Lee Hughes case?

Not that I agree with any club giving Evans a deal, but I do wonder how many of these sponsors - not just Oldham's - are acting out of fears of reprisal rather than standing up for their principles?

This story seems to be much more high profile than either of the Hughes or McCormack cases.

Convicted rapist Ched Evans has issued an apology via the Professional Footballers' Association "for the effects that night in Rhyl has had on many people, not least the woman concerned" but maintains his innocence in relation to his conviction for rape.

Maybe should have said that when he released his video after his release from Prison

Exactly. Closing down his horrible website might be a good idea too. He clearly has no remorse and no sympathy whatsoever for his victim.
