A Norwegian company has bought naming rights for Peterboro's stadium,London Road will now be called ABAX Stadium apparently. :)

Posh fans seem delighted on Twitter and are aiming so delightful Tweets at their Chairman, such as "You're a disgrace, fuck off"

Can you imagine the meltdown if Wolves renamed Molineux

Yes I doubt any fans like this malarkey,it's slightly different with new arenas like the Emirates etc...

Glasgowolf levels most likely. Especially if the rights were bought by Bird's or Doritos.

Dave Whelan charged with aggravated breach of FA rules for his "I love Chinese" moment. Hope he keeps his word and walks away when he is found guilty

Leeds United's ownership thrown into doubt as League disqualifies Cellino over tax case. This could impact on Leeds season with a real possibility of a relegation struggle.

They've got the players to be safe enough this season. Really worrying for them going forward though. If I were Moxey I'd be straight on the phone to them about signing Alex Mowatt, Lewis Cook and Mirko Antenucci.

Luke Murphy in January wouldn't be a surprise.

Luke Murphy is shite, Leeds fans hate him. Think we dodged a bullet with that one.

It's the right move to ban him, he is a proven crook and if the laws are seen to have any teeth then his is the most open and shut case you can think of. It's only legalese which has got him this far down the road. Horrible prick as well.

He appears to be only banned until March 2015 and can appeal in that time, anyway.

Waste of time.

Just reading that Cellino has 14 days to appeal against the decision to the Professional Conduct Committee.

The Board of Directors of The Football League has, once again, considered the position of Leeds United President, Massimo Cellino, under its Owners' and Directors' Test.
Previously (March 2014), the Board had ruled that Mr Cellino was subject to a disqualifying condition after he was found guilty of an offence under Italian tax legislation relating to the non-payment of import duties on a boat (which resulted in him being fined €600,000). In April 2014, this decision was successfully appealed by Mr Cellino at a hearing of the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) chaired by an independent QC (sitting alone).
In reaching his verdict, Tim Kerr QC concluded that: “Mr Cellino has satisfied me that on the facts before me, what he was convicted of was not conduct which would reasonably be considered to be dishonest.” Before going on to state that: “if the reasoned ruling of the court in Cagliari discloses that the conduct of Mr Cellino was such that it would reasonably be considered to be dishonest, he would become subject to a Disqualifying Condition.”
At its meeting last week, the Board considered the reasoned Judgment of the Italian Court against Mr Cellino, having successfully applied to the Italian Courts for its full disclosure. The Board considered detailed legal advice and agreed unanimously (with the exception of its Chief Executive, Shaun Harvey, who did not take part in the debate or vote having declared an interest*) that Mr Cellino is subject to a disqualifying condition under the terms of the Test.
Mr Cellino is entitled to appeal the Board's decision to the PCC within 14 days. As the Judgment of the Italian Court has not been published in Italy, The Football League will not make any of its contents public.
Additionally, the Board concluded that it was appropriate to ask an independent Football Disciplinary Commission (FDC) to consider whether Mr Cellino and/or Leeds United breached League regulations relating to the timely disclosure of relevant information. The matter will be heard by an FDC in due course.

I don't think that's true, his conviction will be considered to spent under British law by then but once the FL have banned you then they can maintain that ban for as long as they like.

4. Decision
4.1 For the reasons set out above, The League considers that the Judgment of the
Cagliari court, finding Mr Cellino guilty of tax evasion, (1) constitutes a conviction by
a competent court having jurisdiction outside England and Wales for a like offence
to an offence involving a 'Dishonest Act'; and (2) is therefore a 'Disqualifying
Condition' within the meaning of Appendix 3 of The League's Regulations.
4.2 Appendix 3 provides that such the conviction will continue to operate as a
Disqualifying Condition until the date the conviction would be deemed spent under
the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, if that Act had applied to the conviction. In
accordance with section 5(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (as amended by
the Legal Aid, Sentencing & Punishment Act 2012), the conviction would be deemed
spent 12 months after the date of the conviction, i.e., on 18 March 2015.

Therefore, Mr Cellino is disqualified from 'holding office or acting as a Relevant
Person' in respect of LUFC (or any other Club) until 18 March 2015

Well that is nonsense. They don't have to let him back in, once you've failed the test then they could issue a ban for whatever length they like. They could deem his takeover invalid in the first place.

Leeds United have told the local press that the Football League have asked Cellino to be removed from position until 18 March 2015 before repointing him..

I would be on the case with Cook if they need to sell. Byram will be sought after by bigger clubs

Dortmund bottom after 13 games, lost again yesterday to Frankfurt.Unbelievable really.

Watched a bit of their game yesterday, they were already 1-0 down but i did get to witness Frankfurt's second, ball over the top of their defence which Ginter is clearly beating the attacker to, nods it back towards his keeper but Wiedenfeller has for some reason decided to come storming out for it anyway so it gets headed past him and the bloke gets a tap in to an empty net.

They just don't seem to have the intensity to their play that's been around in recent years, whether they're all burnt out from playing mental tempo football or perhaps just a few bad results has knocked the spirits but they just don't look right at the moment, still getting plenty of bad luck with injuries rolling over from last year though which can't help them.

van Gaal already whinging about the Christmas schedule.

Football agent Jim Solbakken finally under FIFA investigation, suspected fingers in too many pies.
