http://www.theguardian.com/football...-loan-players-change-rules-wild-west-football

Article on Chelsea's multitude of perpetual loanees.

One point straight away; how come Middlesbrough have three players on loan from them? I thought the rules were changed a while back to say you could only have two at any one time from a single club? I'm sure the Football League changed it after Blues loaned Larsson, Muamba and Bendtner from Arsenal all at the same time.

Anyone been to QPR?
It seems we're in section 'X' in Ellerslie Road Stand - that's the one facing the two tired director's box stand.
Depending on which site you look at for seating plans it seems like section X right at the end is either level with the goal line of it goes right behind it!
I've tried putting the seat numbers in but it doesn't help...
One site which is very good has the tantalising sentence, 'Look for your exact seat here...' and it's dead.

Anyone know any better?

I have been there. Wherever you are sat don't expect leg room.

Been in the upper tier of the away end (shite view - can barely see the goal) and also in the loft with a QPR fan I knew a few years ago (slightly better view but cramped as fuck)

It really is a shite ground.

Same as Paddy, top tier of the away end and couldn't see the goal line at all. Think the game was actually against Fulham. The ground reminds me of Fratton Park in terms of facilities/comfort etc (which is all you need to know really).

Rumours are they'll share with McDons for a year.

Edit: Oh, it says that in the link anyway. Oops.

They should apply to share the Olympic Stadium just for the lolz.

Khedira has had to have knee surgery. Binning Xabi looks a bit silly now.

Thank fuck league football is back this weekend!

That's all.

I'd guess Anzhi as well.

Didn't Arsenal play some home games at Wembley a few years back?

I reckon it's us, Steve Morgan is part of the Scouse Mafia.

Hull up for sale...won't come cheap though unless Allam is writing off most or all of the £72m he's loaned to the club.

When all of the so called expert pundits were praising Steve Bruce about the excellent transfer business he had completed on Transfer Deadline Day, I thought about the money they must be shelling out on wages and considered the viability of the club if they were to go down. Now that there owner wants out, they really do need to stay in the league else they will be up shit creek without a paddle.

They spent absolutely ridiculous sums under Bruce in the Championship (hard to work out on what though, as the squad just looked bang average in a poor division). Lost something like £27m the year they went up.

Great article this - thanks for posting it.
I've wondered repeatedly about the number of players chelsea have had on loan for too long.

Easy to solve though isn't it. Clubs like Chelsea, who stockpile player, should be allowed to play a 2nd team in the bottom 2 Divisions of the League.......

Doesn't that harm the clubs who would take Chelsea youngsters on loan?
