Either way, the Floatride feels far punchier than the Ultraboost, i guess there may well be more foam in the ultraboost, not 100% but i think it has a higher stack height too?

Anyway it's irrelevant, as it's the Solar v Floatride rather than the Ultraboost I guess.

The Clifton's have a good reputation, not sure how durable they are though? I haven't owned a Hoka yet.

The first and only running shoes I’ve ever bought are Hoka Challengers. Love them.

Didn’t know running wasn’t supposed to hurt your feet.

I alternate a pair adidas SL20s (mainly for speed work, but they're very comfortable for a light shoe) and Brooks Ghost 13s, which are very comfortable!

I also have some Adidas Supernova Winter, but I've packed them away until later in the year.

Reebok floatride energy 3, 75 quid and an excellent daily runner:

Can very often get a 20-25% discount code off too such as this one here:

Reebok Discount Codes - 25% Off at MyVoucherCodes!

I've done about 100 miles in one pair, and no signs of any wear at all, i've found them so good i bought another pair.

@Elephant Pyjamas - how do you find the sizing of the Reeboks? I’ve found them in an 11.5, but am normally an 11 in shoes (or occasionally a 10.5).

I found them true to size, so you may find them slightly big in an 11.5. I guess you could order and send back, free returns. But it is a hassle.

Thanks for the recommendation @Elephant Pyjamas - got some Floatride Energy Symmetros as they were a good price with the 25% discount (and in stock!). Arrived today and they feel great - thought my solar glides were cushioned, but these feel amazing.

Also grabbed some nearly new Hokas on facebook to rotate with - looking forward to trying them, they look different

I woke up early yesterday morning at 06:30 and couldn't get back to sleep so for some reason decided to do what some of the psychopaths I work with do, and did a 30 min HIIT workout before starting my day.
Feel like nails today, aches in my arms, chest, and legs. Feel all weird and shaky yesterday after it. Some people say they love the feeling after a workout but I detest it, my muscles are crying and I feel miserable.

Early at 6.30?😂😂 That’s an indulgent lie-in!

I bought some 5kg dumbbells after never doing any kind of weights before in my life. Did a few sets of bicep curls, pushing myself until I literally couldn't lift them. Next day I can't straighten my left arm unless I do it really slowly and push against the pain. Think I may have strained one of the tendons in my elbow. That'll teach me going full bore like a maniac on the first day of trying something.

Ok, so I am a long way behind the times. Went into a specialist running store for a pair of shoes today, for the first time in 20+years. Two absolute surprises.

Feet were a little loose in one pair, so the manager suggested runners loop. I had never heard of such a thing. But it worked.

I wear vegan shoes, they always used to be difficult to find but at least it was marked on the shoe and/or box what the shoes were made from. Not any more. Now it requires going to the company website and hoping to find an answer. On the other hand a much higher % of good shoes are actually vegan friendly.

Was a toss up between Brooks Glycerin (US size 14) and Ghost (US size 13). Chose Ghost, but it was the first time it has ever been suggested I try a size 14.

Johnny, I know of your reputation on here, and wonder whether being abusive is in someway therapeutic for you. If so, I guess I can just ignore the hurtful aspects of some of your posts. If not, I struggle to understand what you are trying to achieve.

I got a rower for my birthday. haven't really used one since I was a gym rat in my 20's.

I uh... find it a little harder now lol. can only do about 5 minutes before my body is done. the big gut doesn't help either. might have to go back to the bike to get some actual cardio in while working my muscles up to speed.

Being back at work I’ve found workout time to be extremely limited. Still keeping the weight off though and even managed to bag some new jeans. Finally.
