The Film Thread

I Am Not a Serial Killer, really trippy independent thriller/horror. Max Records is really good in it and Christopher Lloyd is excellent as usual. Like it so much I’ve bought the novel.
Great film. I watched it on a long haul so had no clue about it which made it even better. same with Don’t breathe which I might even have watched on the return flight.

Everything crossed they hire George Elokobi to be his stunt double as Mick once said he was...

Sleeping Dogs on Prime, really enjoyed it. A retired copper with Alzheimer’s gets drawn back into an old case that saw a 19 year old convicted of a murder he swears he didn’t commit and is now one month from execution. I won’t go into any more detail as it’ll spoil it but it’s well worth a watch.

Yeah, I watched Sleeping Dogs a few weeks back. It's a decent enough watch.

Just watched The Machinist again for the first time in years, I remember it being a bloody good film but it was better than I remembered. I’d go as far as to say it’s one of the best performances I’ve seen and easily Christian Bale’s best.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Absolutely batshit even for Tim Burton. Thoroughly enjoyable and lots of nods to the original but not too much to be nauseating and enough fresh ideas to keep the plot bustling along.

Monica Bellucci is one of the most beautiful humans on the planet, at 60, and playing a soul sucking villain.

Deadpool Wolverine. If you’ve seen the X-Men / Deadpool / MCU movies and series it’s a must watch. Absolutely brilliant.

The opening is just plain ridiculous...and I loved it.

Definitely a film to watch numerous times to spot the hundreds of easter eggs dropped in it

Definitely. I’m still hung up on the homage to classic comic covers in the universe jumping. I’ll be watching it a fair few times.

Always thought Children of Men was a really good depiction of the near future when I watched it originally.

Will watch it again soon to see how it stacks up as we are almost there. (Other than the death of mankind, obviously...)

Closest I've seen irl is little cameras instead of wing mirrors
