The Film Thread

Continuing my mood of being bang up to date (after watching the friends finale last weekend) I’ve just watched Crash for the first time. Great film, but a really hard watch. The bit with the Iraqi shopkeeper and the young girl was one of the most powerful bits of film I’ve ever seen,

Saw Shang-Chi this afternoon.

It's decent but nowhere near as good as its being hyped. The same happened with Black Panther, probably for the same reasons - Western made film about a different culture and ethnicity.

The plot is actually fairly standard fodder, but with Marvel's added wit and humour. The best part is the fight choreography. Some really good stuff.

I'll be going Monday. Really surprised they picked this to add to the MCU, but have been really looking forward to it since it was announced.
Think this one though is one that would be better off without the usual MCU jokiness. We shall see...

The Green Knight is really going to divide audiences. Half my family loved it and the other half thought it was utter shite.

I’d that the one with Ben Affleck?

Unhinged, really enjoyed it. Amazing how fat Russell Crowe got for the role.

It is the one I was thinking about but for some reason I thought he was in it. Probably doesn’t help I watched it when it came out, I’ve been fucked many times since then! And yes it’s a brilliant film, may give it a re-watch now.
I bet you were thinking of Changing Lanes, which was about him and Sam Jackson getting in a car accident.

Yeah its a surprisingly good film that, I don't think Crowe had too much trouble with the weight gain, he's been packing on the pounds for a fair few years at least, but haven't we all!

Nobody, absolutely loved it. Bob Odenkirk probably played a big part in that but just a good laugh and enjoyable to watch.
