The Film Thread

After reading reviews on Hunter Killer I decided to give it a go despite most of those reviews giving it a thumbs down. Bloody excellent film, best film I've seen in ages. Would watch this one again and again. So, fuck you movie critics.

Not usually one for zombie type films, but Cargo is worth a watch.

Yeah, I thought that was a good film. More focused on the story rather than the action.

Bird Box, have you seen that one? I enjoyed that one too.

Is Bird Box the one about the "monsters" that make you kill yourself if you look at them?
Apart from the people who don't and go round forcing other people to look.
Apart from the main character who is in a car with her sister...The sister sees "death" but Sandra Bullock doesn't?
5 years after the break down of humanity all the petrol stations are still working, the gas and power is too...
So many holes in the storyline

Sorry to anyone who hasn't seen the film if I've given away too much but I've probably saved you two hours of your life that you'll never get back!

Yeah, the one where they have to wear blind folds, and somehow never bump into things, and she can get a rowing boat down the river and get it to dry land, blind folded, yeah that's the one.

You might want to watch A Quiet Place too . That's another two hours you'll never get back.

I've watched the short review when you flick onto it on Netflix and that means I've basically watched it (wuss who hates all scary films)

Sandra Bullocks' performance in Bird Box reminded me of me, going through life avoiding my responsibilities

I watched Midnight Express last night. Haven't seen it before.

Fuck me, that was cheerful.

Well if I do go, I'll be sure not to try and smuggle drugs onto the plane.

I believe that the High School of Performing Arts' Principal was rather reticent about Alan Parker directig 'Fame' after his portrayal of the Turkish penal system [emoji6]

I thought bird box was decent and a quiet place was excellent...

Given the recommendations on here? and the fact that I found this on Netflix yesterday evening actually watched it.

As long as you have had a couple of drinks & suspend any belief in reality then it certainly wasn't wasn't the worst film I have seen & weirdly quite enjoyed it (that may have been due to the Merlot though)

My 26 year old daughter has asked me if I'll go with her to see the Stan and Ollie movie.

I have raised her so well :)

Replicas. Stay clear of this one. Bloody stupid story line, wooden acting by Reeves as well as an utterly annoying character role as scientist Will Foster, who clones his family after a car crash. Just an utter load of saftness.
