The Film Thread

Killing Season starring John Travolta and Robert De Niro, can't go wrong with those two really can you, well yeah you can. Travolta's accent, the plot, the ending. Shit. Really needed one of them to kill the other after what they did to each other, instead of sitting on a rock sharing a joke.

The latest Mission Impossible- Fallout. These get better with each one for me. 2 thumbs up for action.

Ant Man and The Wasp, really good fun film that we all liked. A bit more removed from most of the Marvel films and a lot more light hearted with a much simpler storyline, there's something about Paul Rudd I really like and he delivered another decent performance while Evangeline Lily was, well Evangeline Lily :Wub2:
A really good cast really with Laurence Fishburne, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer (she has bloody aged well!), Hannah John-Kayman and Walton Goggins and it worked well, although it was really weird seeing Bobby Cannavale playing a normal, every day bloke as opposed to his outstanding performances in Mr Robot.

If super hero stuff isn't for you give it a miss obviously, but if you don't mind them then give it a watch.

Brilliant tie in to the main story across the franchise at the end as well. And it's really not worth staying to watch the snippet after the credits!

Going to watch The Meg Wednesday as the girls are going away for the week with their grandad.

I'm off to see AM&TW in about an hour so I'll see if I agree with you Booz.

Watched the Last Jedi last night as I decided to avoid football stuff and general TV was shite. Still don't get this Star Wars shizzle....slightly better than sitting in the dark I guess.

I enjoyed it. Possibly slightly less than the first one. The first half maybe took a bit too long to get going but the second half was very enjoyable.

My mate already told me not to bother staying for the 2nd post-credits scene, so I left after the first.

The second one really was a massive waste of time!

It was just an ant playing the drum kit.

Saw Blackkklansman in the cinema earlier. Excellent true story about a black detective who manages to infiltrate the KKK.

Probably the best thing Spike Lee has ever done. Good soundtrack, some funny moments, some poignant moments and some solid drama and the acting was great too.

The closing scenes are some of the most moving and powerful scenes ever put in a major motion picture. The audience were stunned.

It's not all true but some of the most bizzare bits are.

Final Score - Skys new movie about a Terrorist attack on Upton Park.

This was always going to be shit but I really hoped it was one of those that is so shit its good..........sadly not. On the plus side a whole host of awful Russian accents and you get to see part of the Boleyn Ground destroyed. Sadly the whole thing is let down by them going way to far in asking the viewer to believe what they are seeing could happen by having West Ham playing in a European Cup Semi Final

Apostle. A film set in post Brexit Wales by the looks of it.

For fans of Queen and Freddie, Bohemian Rhapsody is a must see movie. Rami Malek does an excellent job as Mercury, in appearance and mannerisms. Even folk that have never been that much of a Queen fan ( yes, there are a few of us ) will enjoy this one.

The House With A Clock In Its Walls. A kids film of magic and fantasy. Adults may enjoy this one too...or just saft ones that haven't grown up. I enjoyed it :)

Definitely giving this one a wide berth.

Yep. Can't stand Queen. Though a film about Mercury would have been interesting. Sacha Baron Cohen said he heard amazing stories about him when he was working on the film but the band wanted to make a much more conservative biopic.

Can't stand Queen?!! What is wrong with you?
