The FIFA Debacle

This "comedian" has now been charged by Swiss authorities.

FIFA will be meeting their major sponsors next week. I presume they will tell them that all is now well.

Really interesting interview with Jonathan Wilson on FIFA & Sepp Blatter.

FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke has been put on leave and released from his duties until further notice.
A Fifa statement said it had "been made aware of a series of allegations involving the secretary general".

The Americans said that they had more info coming. Valcke is the fall guy to keep the shit off teflon Blatter. Again.

The Fifa president was due to be in Moscow today to attend a celebration marking 1000 days until the start of the World Cup but opted to stay in Zurich. The decision is believed to be unrelated to any fear of arrest as Russia has no bilateral extradition treaty with the US.

Instead, key voices within Fifa are determined to present the governing body as undergoing wholesale reform. Continuing to present Blatter at events as its figurehead is not considered to be consistent with that aim.

Furthermore, close associates have expressed concerns over the 79-year-old’s health.

I'd love them to nail Platini as well. The way he voted for Holland to get us out of the process then switched his allegiance while they were still in was scummy. Also voting for Qatar whilst his son was employed by their Government doesn't sit right.

Dates for Qatar world cup announced on the same day as Blatter is in the spotlight. Obviously just a coincidence.

Ha ha gorra love it.

Platini defending the payment Blatter gave him a year or so ago.
Apparently its for work he did for fifa, the work was around 2001/2002

Damn, i wish we had some suppliers who wanted payment in 4300 days :icon_eek:

The FA are continuing to back Platini's bid to be FIFA president.

The money has spoken. Coke and McDonalds say Blatter has to resign now.

Blatter tells them to fook off.
