The F1 Thread

Another good race from Bruno started 14th and finished 7th, after finishing 6th from 24th in Malaysia.

That was an awesome race to wake up too this morning! Who said formula 1 was boring? :)

HTR haven't been able to gain access to the track to set up their motorhome....

Bernie says he is bringing the French grand prix back. At Paul ricard. Which is a shit circuit. Which he owns. In alternate years with Belgium. Which is the best circuit. Arsehole.

Force India withdraw from second free practice.

This race really shouldn't be going ahead. Ecclestone is such a wanker.

Agreed. There's far too much unrest out there to have an international event with all the people that entails. Ecclestone ultimately only cares about keeping the money men happy.

Williams actually fired a member of the catering staff for refusing to travel out there earlier in the week.

That and the fact that holding the GP is used as a massive political tool by the despotic government.

Indeed - the Crown Prince saying the staging of such events will allow them to 'build bridges' in his troubled nation. Erm.... how about you get those bridges fully built and 100% safe before using sport as a propaganda tool?

Fucking stupid.

It's taken a while, but f1 is brilliant again.

Indeed. Should be a mighty close season hopefully.

McLaren have gone off the boil a bit on race pace, even without the constant pit cockups.

I thought McLaren were going to run away with it after Melbourne, it looked in a completely different league to everything else.

Superb to see Kimi back at the front, and I'm warming to Grosjean.

I was a bit irritated by the BBC text commentary spaffing over Vettel for getting a good start and the doing not a lot more apart from maintaining the lead - Seemingly conveniently forgetting that he was arguably dogshit in the first few races of this season when actually he had to race.

Watched the highlights just there, A bit dissapointed with McClaren's performance in the pits and Jenson retiring, Hamilton must be pissed off with his crew. Nice to see Vettel win though he seems a decent bloke and is good when interviewed. Great race from Di Resta, he is a good driver but I think he needs to move up to a better team, hopefully someone will give him a chance.

Di Resta should be off to Mercedes when Schumi retires. He's certainly got something about him.
