The F1 Thread

Red Bull and Max’s focus will very quickly switch to Ferrari as soon as Sainz or Leclerc have the audacity to not back out when Max is driving like a prick

Dreadful start for Drugovich. Pole and back to 6th as he bogged it down completely.

Brilliant racing already.

Pourchaire would be my fancy for the title this season and I'd expect him to be in the Alfa next year.

It's fantastic stuff! I love the fact there is so much wheel to wheel duelling in F2. Pourchaire is very highly thought of. I'm actually a bit disappointed that Illott has gone to be a test / sim driver in F1, as I think he would be at the head of this field. Same with Piastri.

Daruvala and Doohan are decent drivers too. Looks like F2 is going to be loads of fun. I know F3 is about 17 seconds per lap down on F1, but what is the usual difference for F2?

Mostly rate Doohan this year, first year in F2 whereas most the other top runners were there last year too and didn't significantly stand out.

Daruvala has no excuses this year with Prema. He's fine, but shouldn't be looking at f1 next year, even if he wins it. Vips is very talented, but seems to have no luck one way or another m

Hauger has looked off it so far this weekend, but he was very good in F3 last year.

Can anyone recommend any good F1 podcasts?
“Beyond the grid” - just a good all round podcast if you only wanted one series that covers the facts

(My recommendation) “On the marbles” - more of a banter one with Coulthard and Webber among others. They cover the usual topics stuff well (as you’d expect with ex drivers) but it’s also nice and lighthearted.

There's no grip whatsoever in the f2. They're all over the shop!

Great thanks mate.

Classic F2. Two cars in the pit lane with three wheels, blocking everything else.

Abysmal driving from Nissany towards the end. So dangerous.

How long has Nissany been racing in F2, feels like ages.

Doohan messed his own race up there but I like the look of him after immediately stepping up a formula. Iwasa looks a fine prospect too, not sure what happened to him on the last lap though. Enjoyed that. Vips indeed looks quality, not sure why I don't really remember him standing out last year.
