The F1 Thread

As per expected. "Human error" means "Masi fudged the regulations". Based on the pressure of team principals and the desire for the race to finish on track. He let himself get manipulated IMO and folded when it came to showing a strong authority with his decision making.

Whitewash. Absolutely inevitable now though. You can't change the result. You need to make sure it never happens again.

Mercedes engines filling six of the bottom seven spots there would be a huge worry for them.

That McLaren is a dog! Turns in about as well as my 2004 Fabia.

First run was on used tyres, but they'll do well to be within half of that.

I'm all in for Carlos & Charles v Max. Carlos and Max hate each other with a passion.

Lovely stuff, in for another good year I reckon. Mercedes you'd think will catch up at some point, but it it's engine related that'll be harder to fix. Haas and Alfa reaping the rewards of spending all of last year focused on the 2022 car

Looks to me like we could have a cracking title fight between Red Bull and Ferrari. Merc are seriously in trouble. Excellent quali for Alfa Romeo and Haas.

Anyone but Max for me
I wanted Max to win last year because I felt the sport needed that. This year, I hope he puts up a good fight but ultimately won't be wishing him on to win at all.

No sport needs petulant spoilt brats succeeding

Bottas ahead of Russell. Bit embarrassing for Mercedes.
Meh. George fucked up turn 1 on his only
Lap on new tyres and lost about 1 second as a result. They’ll improve, dominance can’t last forever - just look at Ferrari after Schumacher and Red Bull from 2014
