Great battling between Alonso and Hamilton for 1st place, incredible as they're going at high speed!

Good race that.

Great drive from Webber and Alonso.

A friend of mine had paid £420 to see all three days, but all he saw was the race. He loved it, but once again one has to question the organisation at Silverstone. They have past history for not being prepared for bad weather that had been forecast.

Regarding the race, well done Weber. He got his tactics just right. McLaren just weren't at the race, so to speak.

There's little you can do to prepare for that much rain. It rained for about an hour last year and it turned muddy very very quickly so God knows what it was like this year!

Very worrying times for McLaren, both drivers said the car felt ok to drive but it's evidently just lacking in absolute performance. Lewis was super quick at Barcelona too, and with Silverstone being a track of similar nature I expected him to be up there. Red Bull and Ferrari look to be the class of the field too.

Webber's performances have really gone under the radar this season, he's driving exceptionally well.

Well, had a great day out yesterday. Weather stayed dry and luckily we avoided any of the problems and issues being reported.

Perez absolutely slaughtered him after their accident yesterday, but Maldonado only got a reprimand. The guy's a complete liability.

Agreed. Though it's hard to say if his crash with Perez was deliberate. Obviously the data said it wasn't or he would have been punished harder.

Perez's interview was funny though.

He's already been banned from Monaco for life once as well, but got let back in for Formula One.

Maldonado is a nutcase. Isn't he good mates with Hugo Chavez, nutjob extraordinaire?

Saw a piece on Eurosport last night regarding Alex Zanardi, he will be competing in the paralympics in hand-cycling. The location of the event is at Brands Hatch, fair play to him not feeling sorry for himself after his accident.

So Webber has signed on for another year at Red Bull and James Allen is reporting that Schumi has agreed another year at Mercedes. Surely Hamilton has to resign with McLaren now? There are tentative rumours about Lotus, but Kimi and Romain are contracted for next season.

Interesting that Webber said he had spoke with Ferrari though. Massa on the countdown to leave them then.

Hamilton will stay with McLaren, no doubts about that at all even if there was other options out there, all this does though is hamper his ability to negotiate as McLaren know full well there is nothing better out there for him

Drivers speak to teams all the time, Ferrari are rumoured to have spoken to Webber, Vettel, Di Resta, Perez, Rosberg and Kovalainen.

I think Massa will probably stay on for another season now if he can maintain his resurgence, there's no other real alternatives with the exception of Hamilton.....The mutual praise between Alonso and Hamilton in recent times is intriguing.

Massa's contract is up this season isn't it?

Maybe Ferrari will give him another 12 months extension. I'd like to see someone like Rosberg go there.

Yup.

Perez will go there eventually, hence another 12 months for Massa now his performances have improved. Or if the Vettel rumours are true it will be Alonso and Vettel in 2014.

I'm not sure what to make of Rosberg, he's already reportedly rejected McLaren because he didn't fancy being alongside Lewis. I can't see him joining Alonso if that's the case
