The F1 Thread

So Red Bull's floor has been deemed illegal after it was found to be legal before Monaco. The FIA are a joke.

On a slightly different note, what broadcaster are you using to watch the weekends? I can't stand the Sky coverage.

Sky is the best out of the two easily IMO.

And their floor was "found legal" before Monaco because Charlie Whiting said it was ok based on the current rule. Hh has nowt to do with actual legality, he's just an opinion. The technical delegate I assume said it was ok based on the current rule awaiting a proper FIA review. I assume the FIA will alter the wording of the rule slightly in an update of the technical regulations.

I imagine they'll just keep the hole and stick a thin slot into it like other teams have done.

The Sky commentary team is superior, but Lazenby and Hill are piss poor. There's absolutely no charisma from either of them and subsequently the pre and post race shows are so so dull. The BBC always seem to be ahead of them in terms of interviews, and Gary Anderson is getting better every weekend in his technical role, without displaying the obvious bias of Kravitz.

Sorry, I should have referred to the FIA being "a joke" as once again a team has appeared to find a loophole in the regulations, and then they come out and ban it immediately after.

Another awesome qualifying.

Good to see the top three battling it out. We've not seen enough of it.

If Ferrari pit him the lap after Lewis, he comes out right on his tail as McLaren once again ballsed up their stops.

They've thrown away a guaranteed second and eight massive points.

Great drives by all the top three and we could have had a classic finish. Shame.

Absolutely. I cannot comprehend Ferrari's tactics. They handed the race to Hamilton, though his customary poor pit stop could have been disastrous.

I don't think he wins today anyway, Lewis was too quick today but to throw away those points when they've seen Massa's tyres give up after a long stint is ridiculous.

Lewis finally got the win he deserves for his driving this season. Another dire race for Jenson Front Grip Button.

Great drive from Grosjean. A brilliant second place, I bet he can hardly believe it.

Loved that race. Regrettably only my 2nd race of the year but has enthused me for the rest of the season...

Horrendous crash for Anthony Davidson at Le Mans yesterday.

and he walked away from that! (allbeit with a broken back, but still lucky man)

That was ridiculous! 0.3s between pole and fourteenth.

Superb q2, but a disappointment that nando missed out. Lotus look good here, and I am not convinced about vettel today. Had to use extra tyres to be sure of q3.

I've never seen anything so close. You'd think Ferrari had qualified 9 seconds off the pace by the way the supposed Tifosi have reacted to that on another forum I frequent. Absolute idiots.

God knows who'll stick this on pole, I'd love to see Di Resta/Grosjean/Kobayashi/Kimi do it....
