The F1 Thread

Nice one. Should be a great day no matter what the race is like.

I demand at least one decent crash in front of a stand I am sat in though.

Wonder if anyone fancies giving Piquet Jnr another drive for this race...

Have walked around 50% of the Singapore track on a non-race day and it's an incredible venue. Actually quite tricky and high speed for the drivers too, so crashes are highly likely. Enjoy!

Singapore is a great track, very jealous! Enjoy.

So many cool things to do in Singapore as well.

Sentosa Island, Botanical Gardens, the cricket club (yes really), Orchard Road, Little India. Not to mention going to Raffles for a Singapore Sling (although I would imagine the hotel bars are guest only on GP weekend whereas normally you can just go in).

Maurizio Arrivabene replaced as Ferrari team boss by Mattia Binotto

Sauber name change for next season. Will now be known as Alfa Romeo Racing

Sad to see the Sauber name disappear completely.

Alfa build absolutely fantastic cars nowadays though, the Giulia is magnificent.

Haas go with a new colour scheme, mainly to do with their new title sponsor, Rich Energy

Ah Rich Energy. The drink nobody has ever seen, let alone consumed and whose website is never online.

Screwed over Williams as well. All agreed to become their title sponsor and Williams even had the press conference arranged for the contract signing at the US GP and an hour before that Haas announced that Rich Energy would be their new sponsor.

It certainly isn't.

Senna was racing in the JPS Lotus in the eighties for a start.

That really is a beautiful car (the colour scheme)

It is sensational to look at. Sadly it won't be overly competitive by the look of it. A lot of last year's tech involved.
