The F1 Thread

Ferrari going to throw this away. Not even sure how they’ve managed it

Nope held on. Bottas had zero pace behind Vettel, struggling to keep it within 1 second.

Fantastic defensive drive by Vettel there. How he massaged those tyres home I will never know.

Some drive from Sebastian.

Incredible from Gasly and Ericcson too. Tremendous efforts.

I try to like F1 but it really is tedious to watch when you know everybody behind a Ferrari is hampered by aerodynamics.

Cheers Pad. Is that a New thing? I don't follow F1 closely, I just have it on in the background while I'm cooking.

The injury to the Ferrari mechanic looked really bad.

It's been around a few Years now. Most tracks have 2 points where it can be used. A detection point j7st before it shoes if it can be used or not.

Double leg fracture for the Ferrari mechanic

Nasty stuff if you see the slomo video which shows it all.

You don't see any bones or anything, just his leg bending the wrong way. As you'd expect.

I switched it off after the chequered flag, but just read that Hamilton was heard calling Verstappen a "dickhead" in the cool down room after.

Good. Verstappen IS a dickhead in overtaking moves. Always trying to be too aggressive and taking too many risks.

Nothing wrong with what he did today.

Maybe Hamilton was just bitter that he got done by a kid driving a slower car?

Thought Verstappen was a bit too aggressive on the exit of the corner, was trying to force Hamilton off track or at least force him to slam on the brakes and screwed himself over in the process, he could have made the pass and left enough room. That said he’s unlucky that contact caused so much damage when you see Perez and Hartley hit each other a lot harder with no damage

Another bore fest. This year seems notably worse for entertainment so far. Presumably because of the 3 engines rule
