The F1 Thread

Wow! Fantastic last few laps, and a brilliant win for Jenson. I feel a bit sorry for Schumacher - he did really well, and I feel sorry for him that he didn't manage to finish on the podium.

Superb from Button, what an amazing performance.

Hamilton in the naughty boys corner.

No doubt Paddy, but the Lewis-Jenson incident is still to be investigated.

Game over for Ferrari this season.

What a drive from Jenson, 5 pit stops and 1 drive through penalty and still manages to come through and win. The first sign of cracks in Vettel maybe? Great drive by Schumacher aswell its just a pity that his car isn't as good as the red bulls or the Mclarens as it would make the championship that bit more exciting

Has F1 improved immensely this year or have I always picked the wrong races to watch in the past?

Echo the sentiment that Schumacher didn't make the podium but he got dicked by DRS. Mind, he muct have driven the wheels off his car in the last lap as he was right behind Webber crossing the line.

Massa doing Koboyashi (sp.) on the line too...

I think the change in tyre manufacturer has done wonders for it.

Canada is generally always a good race though because there are so many potential overtaking spots. When you get exciting races at Barcelona and Monaco (which we have!) you know you have the right formula.

Gutted for Schumi, never cheered him on before but would have loved to have seen him up there today.

Good work from the marshal here:

This was so nearly turning into an awful race, and then spun on it's head to be one of the standout ones instead. Congrats to Jenson too, what a superb drive today.

As for that marshall, jesus. He'll be lucky to be on pit lane entrance duties for the junior karting from now on for that.

Well, it pissed me right off!

I had it recorded on Sky+ so at around 9pm it went over to BBC2 and I lost it!
I had no idea it was so delayed etc etc....

Watching the bit I had recorded after all the delays etc, got me to lap 30 just after the restart.

Is there any way I can watch it again as the Beeb don't appear to be showing highlights today as far as I can see, nor does it seem I can watch it on iplayer or any other medium.

Anyone any ideas?
Please?

Morning Penk,

Can't do that, it's outside my fucking area!

What's that all about?

Thanks for posting it anyway.

They're supposed to be launching iplayer on the world service for poor sods like me outside the UK but it's not up yet.

Can I get round this 'area' thing?

Hi Wolf,

I'll download it from i-player and then e-mail it to you. Not sure whether it will work still, but worth a try.

It's 2.3 gb, can you recieve a file of that size?

Er yes, I think it should be ok.
I'm at the enmd of the line here regarding Broadband, so at weekends when everyone's on it, my video for instance on Skype is a bit jerky, but during the week and weekdays is usually fine.

Give it a go please.

No good mate, Outlook wont let me attach a file of that size and the file size is very similar when compressed.

Just tried to email you, but it's not going.

Never mind, Thanks very much for trying.
Really disappointing that.
It looked to be a fantastic end to the race!

Eventually when my Outbox starts sending again, you'll get an email... bin it.
Thanks again.

Don't the Beeb do highlights of the race on the following day any more?
Like MOTD?

They stick them on BBC Three on the evening of the race. In this case they were on about 1am this morning.
