Yeah, do think Alves is underrated somewhat, Slink. Was a fantastic attacking outlet for Guardiola's Barca and then dropped off but recovered and has matured defensively in recent years.

I think it was more the Barca style and players that changed which meant they weren't as good. He obviously wasn't happy with everything behind the scenes either but he's got everything you want in a full back and he's proving at Juve that he can defend despite all the nonsense that he can't

He's really not, i'm sure being part of that Barca team doesn't help. He does great work off the pitch and his comments when he left Sevilla and Barca just tell you a lot about him.

To be fair he would have probably been first in my list with Zanetti a close second but obviously i wanted to give Javier a better chance of winning because Alves has no chance.
