The Definitive TWF Wolves XI Thread (2019 version) - 1970 - present

That's twice, one more mention of Michael K and Lemonjelly will appear like Beetlejuice :)

And just like magic..........

I knew you were about really *flutters eyelashes*

I had Bazeley as my Player of the Season in 99/00 (played every minute of every game and was a class act, beautiful goal vs Forest at home too) but ultimately he totally fell off a cliff after that. He was terrible in the first half of 00/01 and never played for us again after getting injured at Sheff Wed (first game after we sacked Lee). So not enough volume there for me.

Of course Doc has also only had one good season but it has been at the highest level and I'm trying to be nice to him.

Matt Doherty
Michael Kightly
Kevin Muscat

I remember how much space Kites used to use down the right side, and chasing a lost cause which just went out of play. He punched the turf in frustration but God knows how he even got close to it. I think he'd have been a great RWB if we played the current system when he was here.

Doc was pretty good in Nuno's first season too. I know I didn't think I'd write that either.

I'd still say he was easily our weakest link, he's gone up several levels this season. In fact what we saw vs Everton and Leicester in August was 2017/18 Doc and I for one feared the worst as he was 4/10 in one and 1/10 (for putting his shirt on the right way round) in the other.

I still can't bring myself to vote as number one RWB ever a guy who can't cross or tackle. Just me I know.

Muscat was quality till he started believing his own hype and went from being a tough tackling RB to an absolute nob

doc
hibbitt
bazeley

i can't bring myself to agree with kites. character lets him down sadly. Foley is monumentally unlucky.

Doc
Kightly
Foley

Kenny Hibbitt will be in my midfield 3 (along with Neves and Moutinho).

Muscat was nuts. Dennis levels of nuts. Every time he went to slide in I would cover my eyes. Not that I saw him live much!

He was quality in many ways, and somewhat psychotic in others. For the early part of his Wolves career I thought he was fantastic. Later, the other streak cost us a bit, but as Dan says the choke wasn't entirely his fault at all.

Doc
Foley
Kightly as its the only place we'll be able to pick him for
